What's your Weather Like August 2023/Closed

We too had no thunder and only a little rain yesterday in the end. Today is supposedly going to be dry until around 4 pm so we had decided to go out for the day, woke up to a really grey looking day...greyer than yesterday!! I Hope it brightens up a bit!!

Currently hazy sun, breezy, 18c going to low 30s but keeping breezy thankfully.

Well, it is August! I have never liked July and August.

 

Its been mostly cloudy but bright.
The wind has almost dropped to Zero and its felt reasonably mild at 22c.

The sun came out proper just after 4pm and it now feels more like summer, if only it would last.
Not many weeks of real summer left now, before foggy mornings and heavy dews set in.
And that's only if we are lucky.

 

A bit of sun but more cloudy and a breeze but no rain....
Tomorrow looks like it's back to rain and Northerly wind by the afternoon.,

Heavy rain was forecast at home today but it's stayed dry with a dark cloud covering. Having driven into Inverness it was a different story, at one point the rain was torrential. 13C/55F

 

All day sunny intervals and with a few heavy showers in the afternoon.
Now it's partly cloudy with a gentle breeze from the north west temp 17c feels like 17c.

 

Nice warm day with occasional sunshine . The shower that we were promised thankfully arrived after we got back home around 4pm.

 

It's been a dry day here . Sunshine & showers for the most part & windy, especially in the morning. During the afternoon/evening it has eased off & we are forecast very light breeze during the night hours. Temps - nothing to write home about! Max of 20-21C.

Good morning everyone

I'm probably right in saying that we are in the autumn rather than summer - as the next couple of days we are forecast lots of rain, even thunderstorms. Temps will be autumnal as well with a max of 20C today but only 15C for tomorrow! We can expect rain most of the day with the low temperature.

The Met Office app shows that from 13.00 to 15.00 there is a 70% possibility of thunderstorm - which, while being high, will probably mean we won't be getting them here! Why not? Because at that level it's almost certain to pass us by, I've noticed that often during the years I've been using the MO app!

Saturday will be a washout with rain forecast for most of the day.
