The lavender in the fields behind our house are looking great. The vibrant purple blooms are a sight to behold, and the sweet fragrance is pure bliss!

        Hi there @Matt Smith and

It would be good to introduce yourself on the New Members Introduction thread and tell us a bit about yourself/ garden . It's also a good idea to go to your settings and add your location, only your county , so that if you require any advice we ( I use the royal 'we' :heehee:) can offer you a more tailored answer.

@Victoria, Have you had that Strobianthus long? I like those leaves very much but don't you find it difficult to grow it in the heat & dryness of Portugal? I was reading about it & it seems it needs very high humidity which I imagine you would find difficult to provide.

Just had it about six weeks. It was just a small plug plant but is growing quickly. I keep it in a filtered shady place with the Hibiscus and it gets watered daily with them.

Oh wow Pete, so much is suffering from the heat here although it is watered daily. Ivam thinking things will pick up as the heat goes away. :fingers crossed:

You will come into your own in the autumn, we have to work with what we have got, most of my stuff would benefit from a few weeks of dry weather and sunshine.
Even the figs are not ripening this year.
