What's your Weather Like August 2023/Closed

The sun is out here now, virtually no wind and 18c.
We have had 3.5 mm of rain, but it took all day to do it, thoroughly miserable day really.

 

It is 35c, went to just under 36c. I wonder what tomorrow will bring.

 

Mainly cloudy all day. Not particularly windy but unusually cold. 13C in the car at 11 am so put my seat warmer on. Rain - plenty and a poor light for crocheting in .
Still, looking forward to a slice of fresh lemon flan later...
made with condensed milk and lemon juice.

I didn't get any crocheting done today either.
I didn't know you can still get condensed milk, used to lick it off the spoon after putting it in tea.

Just looked it up, you have got 6ins of snow tomorrow and for the rest of the week hard frost, get the salt ready.

 

Rain, Rain and more rain.

 

The wind has picked up here now as the low moves away, its quite gusty.
If it dont rain anymore it will be good at shifting all that wet off the tomato plants and hope to avoid blight.

 

This afternoon we had a couple of very short spells of drizzle. The sun has appeared this evening but a bit of a breeze is picking up a bit now. Low of 10C tonight.

 

A cloudy morning but as the day moved on light rain showers turned to heavy showers. It stopped about an hour ago and is starting to brighten up. 13C/55F

 

Damp. Dark. It's stopped raining, but everything is waterlogged. "Metcheck" says tomorrow will be warmer and dry, with the outlook much better for a couple of weeks. Time will tell. Mañana.

After so many hours of rain yesterday today is forecast to be dry. Here, at least, the rain was fairly gentle, no heavy downpours nor any thunderstorms, so it would have soaked in the soil well, which is just what is needed.

It's sunny to start the day but only 11C. We can expect lots of cloud with some sunny intervals. The temps, though lower than the average for early August, are expected to reach around 18C max.
