No I never got round to getting a different variety, it was on my to do list but you know how it is.
          Space being the main problem.

Maybe it's the light in the picture but yours look almost orange in colour.

I have a Noire de Carombe and it's not a great performer. It will like get stuck in a border soon and forgotten about. Might replace with a brown turkey

Not a great performer in what way, produces no fruit or produces fruit that needs a longer summer to ripen.

The big problem I have with figs is the birds take them as soon as they ripen and being down the allotment I don't check every day. I was lucky to find those few.

I looked into my tree yesterday and for a second had a shock, there was this dead piece of skin hanging from a branch still covered in blood.

Nothing apart from a half eaten fig in a tree looks more like something out of a horror movie. Disgusting.

The tree barely grows and hardly any fruit. It's been rubbish!

Whip a few cuttings off it before relegating it to the back of the border, it might have root problems.

Should ask, is it in a pot.

It's been in both border and a large planter. It's just a grumpy plant but good idea on the cuttings

From the allotment. Very hard to see what happens under "Enviromesh", hence didn't shield the left one, a little green here and there, but edible. Quite a few helpings! "Snowball". Too warm and dry for them at times too.

Will have to look at the others.
