    I am useless with trees beyond the obvious ones... this fellow has appeared (I suspect a gift from the local squirrels/birds) and grows quite rapidly apparently, as I did cut it down last year. What is it please?

      That would figure with my thoughts of squirrel donation - plus, I am fairly sure my neighbours over the back have a walnut... shame in some ways I couldn't transplant it elsewhere...

        They get big pretty fast in my experience, probably too big for an average sized suburban garden .
