What's your Weather Like August 2023/Closed

Blue sky 12c, feeling a bit autumnal.

 

Hazy sun, a light breeze, 19c going to 30ish ... so back to normal.

 

Agree, I usually have shorts and short sleeved shirts until the clocks go back but yesterday I wore long trousers and a jumper.
And I've had the heating on for an hour several times lately, although only low, but it takes the uncomfortable chill away.

 

Ok ..30.. that's better.

 

Cloudy with a gentle breeze from the west north west temp 13c feels like 13c
It's not cold enough for our heating to come on and we don't have the gas fire on at the moment, it's the extra clothes that get worn first, but my feet are starting to get cold even with socks.

We have a beautiful morning here all blue skies and sunshine. A perfectly pleasant 15C for the walk that we're just heading off on .

 

I turn it on manually. I don't believe in 'things' telling me what to do and when to do it. I don't cope well with being cold so 'I' decide when the heating gets turned up

It is unnerving when your temperature is saying '39.something' as it did several times this past week! There is a threat there may be some wet stuff taunting us' beginning of September .. threat ...

 

Have just come in after 45 minutes in a glorious 21c with great breeze. This is it ... hopefully Summer is leaving.

The morning has flown by, we went for a walk as it looks like rain later, it's spitting now but not much, it's cooler 17 degrees and I'm still in short sleeves, but then I often wear those in January.....................

The day here started off with a bit of sunshine for a few hours but by mid-morning the clouds gained most of the sky. When I retuned home after going to church this morning the winds had risen quite a bit & were almost pushing me back the way I came as I rounded the corner of our block of flats! All afternoon we have heard the wind blowing strongly & when I went out onto the balcony around 4.30pm to do some watering it was still blowing strongly & felt almost cold!

The flat feels very warm when you come back in from the balcony! So we don't need any heating - for now! Yet during the winter it struggles to keep warm enough even with the heating on all day from 7am till 10pm! Our living room has ceiling to floor thermal curtains to which my wife added another curtain some years ago.

The wind is coming fro the NW but will veer due west in a couple of hours. Our max temp. for today has only 18C! The weather for tomorrow looks like it will be a tad warmer at 20C max. No rain expected either today or tomorrow. Tomorrow though will be another day of clouds & sunny spells.
