Yes I realised Vicky when I read your weather thread post. You had me worried there for a moment!!


Just got home..phew it's warm walking in the Sun! Enjoying a cold ginger beer....ahhhhh that's better.
A nice Chicken wrap + salad then out for an afternoon in the garden , I need to
pin down the Strawberry runners as I want to ditch the old ones this year. A bit more path weeding and as I go I have more Verbena B to rescue and plant where WE want them to be!!!!
More deadheading...it really works doing so to prolong the season.

And a check for any seeds to harvest.

That should keep me out of mischief!!

 

I love ginger beer ... must ask J to check if Iceland has it next time he goes. We are about to have egg and cheese sandwiches ... that is a fried egg and hamburger cheese on squidgy white bread, yum. I will have yea and J a non-alcoholic beer which he has every day at lunch.

Morning all, a beautiful Sunday here, 77 degrees. Still unpacking some. But made myself get in the garden to sort overgrown, weedy stuff, clipping, pruning ext. What a jungle I have here. Husband decided to light the burn pile, its huge. I need to get out the little push mower for small places the ridding can't get to. Still laundry. Have to food shop also, quickly anyway, just enough for dinner.

Looking forward to attending this yearly craft festival in the next town over, very highly skilled craft people, awesome to see the creativity, its on labor day weekend. Don't need to buy anything, but really awesome to see the beautiful things there.

Looks like a nice day ahead.

A few indoor tasks first to do before heading out into the garden today.
I didn't get everything done yesterday as I had planned. I did manage the Strawberries and some seed harvesting but that was all. My cousin phoned and we had a long chat, well over an hour..
She has the exact same problem that I had in one of her knees and has been in a lot of pain. She watiing to have a scan.

With you on the shop bought Ginger Beer Vicky , there's always a bottle in our fridge during the Summer months.

Hi @Flumpy, looks like you will have a dry day today but I will gladly swap you some sun and heat for some rain. We were threatened with some next week but it has vanished!

Think J plans to do some grocery shopping today but that's it from here.

My in laws came to visit yesterday, my father in law had a knee operation six weeks ago, it was the first time he’s drove his car, he’s doing really well, still a little pain and swelling but slowly getting there…..later I nipped to Next as I had ordered a new black wool coat for my mums funeral, looks very smart.

Are we doing breakfast this am Upsydaisy??

Ah, and Carnations and Dianthus are a favourite with me and I have some Dianthus at the moment. I had Star of Bethlehem for years in Bucks and here
