What's your Weather Like August 2023/Closed

No we wait for it to come on, it's only when it's really cold that we put it on for a while but not all of the time, it's always been like that.

 

I spend these evenings with a cashmere shawl draped over my shoulders and a blanket over my legs. Not turning heating on YET .

I shut myself in the conservatory and put a fan heater on, it soon warms it up, but not used it for a few weeks.

 

I think it's daft to sit in a room with cold air all around you. I don't think it's healthy. If the cells in my skin tell me the air is cold, the heaters go on.

 

When a dew drop forms on the end of my nose I usually go for the heater.

 

We did not reach 30c today ... it is 28c now with a lovely fresh breeze. Windows wide open. It has been a joy sitting out.

 

A much better day than the last two. A sunny morning and cloudy afternoon but dry with a light breeze. 15C/59F.

The rain turned up as I thought, down to 14 degrees now, we have had two nights where the temps dropped into single figures overnight, not good for my outdoor sweetcorn.

Beautiful start to the day on this Bank Holiday Monday! The sky is clear with only a few light whisps of cloud! Quite cool with only 11C at 6.30am which is to be expected when the wind direction is from the NW. Fortunately it will be just a light breeze all day. Unfortunately the clouds are forecast to roll in after a couple of more hours Our max temps for today are expected to be 20C while the min will be 13C over night. No rain is forecast for today.

Oh, yes, our forecast two storm days and three of rain beginning of September have gone elsewhere. Just saw on the news where Spain has has some unprecedented torrential rain. Our day will come.
