Vicky I love the scent from dianthus, so fresh, I planted loads at my mums house, in fact I was dead heading them all the other week

 

Morning all. Monday, new week, nice 68 degrees here, rained a little last night.
Post Lady will be delivering the big pile of held mail today, so sorting will be a treat.

That is neat @Flumpy you still have in-laws. Mine passed about 9 years ago now.

Nothing major planned for this week, yet. Thank goodness, enjoying being home.

Did some grass mowing yesterday.
Got through all the held mail yesterday. Now to figure out the bills to pay etc. Today is senior discount day in three different food stores, so off I go to gather some supplies/food ect.
A little cloudy now.

We always keep a tub of ice cream in our freezer Redstar, we also keep cones ( wafers) in the store cupboard too so we have choice of how it can be enjoyed.







We had a really super day out in Salisbury yesterday, just leisurely strolling around .It was good to see that their lovely market is still thriving unlike ours here that has completely closed down. We also enjoyed a riverside walk.

Nothing planned so far for today, might visit my sister to hear all her news on her weekend away.

Morning all, Wednesday. And lots of rain just dumped on us here.
We are watching the storm that came across Florida on the way to North Carolina, fingers crossed just water I hope. The photographer was at our Airbnb yesterday to take new shots. I had redid the bedrooms, and added more pillows, and color places. So we shall see what he comes up with.

Did go food shopping, bought myself some Tillamok Ice Cream, old fashioned vanilla, had a big bowl last night, yummy. @Flumpy . Tillamok is a name of a town on the Oregon coastline, they have lots of cows there, and known for cheese also. I been there twice, love the journey along the coast, hope to do it again one day. But the food costs in general, so sad.

Husband brought home a bunch of peaches, will make some peach jam. Have you ever had a salad of diced Peaches and Tomatoes together and a little Balsamic Ving on it, love the combo.
Well, off to do inside stuff. Have a good one all.

 

Hi everyone

Today's weather looks to be pretty atrocious and we have got to go out in it!!

We are visiting some friends this afternoon and despite the weather we are determined not to give in and succumb to using the car ( in our bid to continue in helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions). It means a bit of a walk this end to the bus stop then a two bus journey. Thankfully they live only a few minutes from the bus stop at their end.

We probably would have cancelled but felt we couldn't as their 13 yr old is doing some baking especially for our visit. Bless her.x

We then have to get home in time to collect our eldest from the station, he's staying until Sunday.

The weather is looking good for the weekend so it should make for a perfect one.
