Who's this "Mark"? Drakeford? It's worth remembering that the Senedd as a whole voted (39 for, 15 against), and:

"The new legislation will not apply a blanket speed limit on all roads, it will simply make the default limit 20mph, leaving local authorities, who know their area best, to engage with the local community to decide which roads should remain at 30mph"

I have a 20mph road at the end of mine it goes past a local shopping area zebra crossing and speed humps.
But people mostly slow down to avoid the gigantic pot holes.
Pot holes are KCCs answer to traffic calming.

Such places need to be 20 mph, and the little cul-de-sac where I live could go down to 10 mph. There are 5 pairs of semis and the way people speed up here is dangerous.

But when you have about 5 miles of 20 mph and a lot of it is straight and wide with very few houses, 30 mph is better.

        Were throwing eveything at it....

This week in the Senedd, the Welsh Conservative Party will call once again on the Labour Government to abandon the speed reduction, with a debate that pushes for a repeal of the 20mph regulations. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

Welsh Conservative Shadow Transport Minister, Natasha Asghar MS said: ““Opposition to Labour’s ridiculous 20mph speed limit rollout is getting more and more pronounced as we approach September 17. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

Sandwich cartons. "Peel here to recycle"? Grr! I defy anyone to do that in under 5 minutes withour ending up with a heap of bits of cardboard and plastic, mostly mixed.

We have adorable road signs saying "20 mph- FOR A REASON".

I wonder where the "20 mph- FOR NO APPARENT REASON WE JUST HAD EXTRA 2s LEFT" are.

              I like that.

My grandfather (and my uncle, and my dad) used to particularly dislike signs saying "Mud on Road". Well, yes. What else would the sign warn of? Mud in the field? Mud in the sky, or somewhere? Pfft. I seem to have inherited the same trait.

Edit: The sign should just say "Mud".

I quite often go through a village called Loose Chippings.
There's a lot of them about.

Some road signs give really quite interesting instructions. I'd better not mention them.

Funny, car goes in for service + MoT and all the gizmo's that didn't work + i've swictch off now all work again, most pain in the back side one in the punture warning thing, I do not have a punture but it says i have, reset, reset and reset it, the start/stop i just swicth it off and for a long time the swicth wouldn't light up (i think it got fed up of me swicthing it off at the start of every trip :)) now lights up but the start/stop doesn't work anyway so i'm happy but i only do shortish trips so won't think it will work but not sure for longer trips, i hope it doesn't start to work :paladin:

Any body now why the punture warning system keeps coming on and is there a way to swicht it off all together? please

Puncture warning, is that low tyre pressure warning, I have that on mine, the best way of turning that off is to not have leaky tyres.

It was coming on regularly for me nearly every time I hit a speed hump, but when I last had my two front tyres replaced I had them done at a small garage, and he used trye seal on the rims before fitting the new tyres, not had a problem for two years now.

If you go to places like Quikfit they say, oh we dont use that stuff its difficult to clean off, which is why every tyre they fit leaks.
