Morning all. I slept very well but do not feel awake.

I loved the Frogs on Clogs Upsy. My nickname has been Frog or Froglet for 55 years as I used to wear huge sunglasses. J is Toad or Toadie.

Yes, I saw that one too. The gal (Victoria) rules the roost me'thinks We liked Lagos. Used to lunch frequently on Meia Praia Beach before it all got built up there Before the days of the huge Marina.

Don't know about the car yet. It was left with the Mechanic as It was a sudden "without appointment" drop in.

J has "exercises" to do ... bringing chin to chest and holding, pulling knee to chest and holding, both to pull on neck. Still same with Physio, TENS and massage.

Oh, Dentist okay, just a filling. J told her it hurt if he pressed on his upper cheek but she could see nothing, took X-rays. He did have lots of work there recently. Goes back for cleanup in December.

J may do some shopping today but that's all from here.

Yes I think she did!! Seemed a nice couple, I did wonder whether they were friends with..gosh can't think of the presenters name... anyway ' her' as she referred to her as Vicks right at the start then he did too and she also said that she had seen their home here and said how fabulous it was.

Glad all went well for J.......we'll have to request a dazzling smiley pic of him.....




I'm going to make an effort on establishing my Autumn/ Winter exercise routine today..which will include a workout..dusting off my static bike!!

I don't believe in celebrating Christmas before the beginning of Advent @Victoria, but if I don't start making the card now I wouldn't have enough time to finish it - I usually have to do several pictures before I'm satisfied with it, and then I have to design the card itself, like deciding what background to use etc ...

I am also going to make calendars as little gifts for people - I've sent for small calendar pads and I'm going to stick them on a piece of card with a picture I've painted (a different picture to the Christmas card) so I have those to do as well. They won't be anything elaborate, just a little gift.

 

Michael ...that sounds mysteriously interesting.....especially the possibility of causing ' alarm '......... I'm eagerly awaiting the big reveal!!


Ps... You've given me an idea for the week leading up to Christmas...... must get on with the research now.......well ,after my workout as I mustn't let distractions distract me!!!!

Yes, I wondered about that. We are having two a day now, one at 3 o'clock and another following at 4 ... on C4.

We still call each other Froglet and Toadie ... never use our names! This was probably when I stopped wearing big sunglasses when I was 60 (actually, I rarely wear them at all now, have cats eyes ones).

 

It won't cause alarm @Upsydaisy, it's just that Victoria seemed to think I was going to show the card soon ...

Hope everyone is well today and looking forward to discovering what the day holds in store for them.

I've stuck up an exercise sheet that I was given years ago from Arthritis Research UK on the bathroom door in our bedroom . I'm hoping that by having a reminder staring at me when I wake up each morning will motivate me into doing the strengthening / stretching routine twice a day. Hmmm ....may have to work on the twice a day bit. but I'm optimistically hopeful.



We had a good day in the garden, pathway was cleared and lawns were cut. Hubs also got rid of all the weeds that I removed from the pathway by burning them in the garden incinerator.

We will carry on the tidy up this morning and then might go for a riverside walk in Winchester this afternoon .

Friday is looking really nice too so we'll go into town ( Southampton) for a nice lunch after my blood test.

Morning all who visit.

Love the Gangster Hamster Upsy and looks like a good gentle exercise plan. I started my plan and even did some kicks yesterday on cycle day.

Early start today as J will be leaving in 30 minutes for his Physio in Alvor.

The car deal will go through tomorrow at a lawyer's office in Messines. You don't need a lawyer here, it is choice. The car is staying with the Mechanic having some work done for which a price negotiation was made.

Are you off out with J too, is it a nice drive.?


Yes they are a good set of warming up exercises.....the tougher ones are on the reverse. I'm not doing the whole lot in one go but breaking them up into sections with a bit of everything in. Maybe in the dingy depths of Winter I will do more but at the moment I feel I'm pretty active and do more than enough each day .

You're doing brilliantly. I think I will have to work on doing different routines on alternative days too, in the Winter I will definitely incorporate using my static bike . I also hope to restart doing at least a 2 mile daily walk in the Winter too like I did leading up to my knee op. I saved all my routes from back then on my tablet.

All sounds very positive with this fighting talk..but as they say actions speak louder than words!!
On a dreary freezing day when my joints are protesting.....will I be in such a positive and able mood. Hmmmmm..that will be the big......
