I told them if the amount I owed was less than what they'd already taken from me, I wanted the difference refunded. Then they gave me the variable dd.

I've just received another email from BG asking me (not telling me) to increase my DD by £1.82 :roflol:

At the moment I owe them quite a lot because they haven't the faintest idea how to calculate my monthly DD although I send the readings every month. That's probably due to me having solar panels which mess up their calculations.

Over 300,000 people have petitioned to reverse the 20 mph. And still more to come. Mark and his lot just lost their support.

Some context. 1.1 million people voted in the senedd elections. Oh Mark what a monumentall cock up.

Welsh Labour received 440,000 votes in total in 2021.

345,000 now and still going up. Mark needs to reconsider his position. I'm going to have a go at my Welsh Parliament MP.

My MP now knows how I feel. I should imagine another case of bright red ears syndrome.

Being told off is part of an MP's job anyway.

I don't know. You could try if you like. It asks for your postcode so maybe they'll ignore you unless you live in Wales.
Since it only concerns roads in Wales I don't suppose Welsh people living in England or anywhere else will be able to vote, but English or any other nationality living in Wales will be.
However, some people live in England and work in Wales so they will be affected by it, but don't know if they can vote...

If they get away with it it will only be a matter of time before we follow, I think Scotland maybe going the same way as well.

I drove to a village today about 6 miles away, mostly in 20 mph zones, and then 6 miles back. It was difficult, made me feel tired and made me feel stifled.
People are complaining. One lady I happened to speak to was a carer and said she was several minutes later than normal arriving at each call. By the end of the day she was way behind and late getting home ... and tired. And had to leave early to get to work the next day. It's mad.
People are saying they don't know how long it can last.

Much of the way to this village I went was along through roads - no people walking, wide roads (very wide in two stretches) houses way off the roads, no holdups etc just ordinary roads between villages, and I question why 20 mph is needed on such long stretches of road, especially where accidents never happen. It's too difficult and too tiring. It's just unworkable. They will have to realize that.

I think they're going to loose lots of votes next time. It will be their own stupid faults.

The thing is its all new at the moment and you have to extra wary because you know the enemy are lurking behind every lampost just waiting to catch you out.

As time goes by it might get easier as there are not many people around here who stick to 30 limits.

It isn't about dodging the cameras, it's about being able to get around and living your life without being hindered by having to crawl everywhere.
It's good in town centres, accident blackspots, by schools, and on housing estates etc, but through roads several miles long do not need to have a 20 mph limit, especially when they are wide and straight.
If they had more cameras those exceeding 30 would be caught, or encouraged to slow down. But in order not to exceed the 20 mph limit you'll have to drive below that, and that is difficult, tiring, and too slow on a long stretch of road.

                            That sounds crazy @Michael Hewett

We have been driving around Shropshire this week, just over the border from Wales. There are some 30 limits in towns and some villages, then it goes to 60 quite often through small villages which seems too fast to me. The number of caravans, motor homes and tractors make it impossible to get up to 60 anywhere, mostly we chug along in convoys at 40 max.
