What's your weather Like October

Still dry and mild for this time of year.

16c and drizzling + very dark

 

High today was at 4pm with 30.6c, now just after 7pm it is 28.3c.

 

It's been a warm day and mostly dry. We had a 5 minute spell of huge raindrops at around 3:30 but that was all. Then we had thunder and lightning for 20 minutes accompanied with a short ,sharp burst of torrential rain around 5 ish. All dry and calm again now. 18C with a feel like temp of 21C.

 

Windy with a mixture of sunshine and cloud. 15C/59F

 

It's been a very cloudy day for the most part with very occasional glimpses of bright whitish spot in the sky that some were calling the sun!

This evening about 7.15pm we heard a loud crack of thunder after a brilliant flash of lightening. But nothing more for an hour when at 8.15pm we heard another crash of thunder! Nothing in between but very light rain. There wasn't any repetition after that, but I wonder if there might be a third rumble at 9.15pm. That's too much to expect!

Now at 9.45pm it's just light rain, more drizzle than anything else. So the forecast "torrential" rain around midnight tonight "ain't gonna 'appen!"

Good morning all

A slightly cooler beginning to the day here. At 6am we have 12C according to the Met Office app.

No more thunderstorms during the night & it doesn't look as though it has rained much either. We appear to have thick cloud cover at present but that is forecast to break up during the morning to leave clouds and sunny intervals.

A cooler day all round today but there may be some more heat this weekend.

 

Hmmm ..what happened, where did that bit of rain come from!!
I'm off over to the Isle of Wight today with some old school friends and it better not disturb the sea too much...I'm not good at sea travel at the best of times.
