      I didn't grow them from seed Lori, its a perennial type that I overwinter in the garage each winter.
      Its never set any seed for me and I propagate it from cuttings.

                    @pete, the flowers don't last long do they and are very sticky, mine went through a dry spell in June when we went away for 10 days, may have affected it's growth.
                    They had about 6 on sale at B&Q earlier in the year, gave the minimum temp as 15c!

                      No the flowers are short lived especially if they get rained on, but probably two days per flower is a maximum.
                      Last year it wasn't great, I think it needs lots of water as since I upped the watering its got buds all along the stems.
                      A minimum of 15c is ridiculous, although I must admit I never expected it to get through last winter in the greenhouse, it must have hovered around 0c on a few nights.

                      It was only because last years display was so poor that I really wasn't all that bothered if it survived or not, space is always a problem.

                      I've just checked and the flowers on mine are not sticky.
