Shoe Manufacturing is a major part of the economy in The Philippines. This was built as a parade float to promote and celebrate the Industry.
It is also why Emelda Marcos had her famous shoe collection.

West Texas storm chaser Laura Rowe captured the picture of a lifetime, fantastic shot of a mature supercell thunderstorm, illuminated at varying heights from the setting sun.

Sorry for you, Michael as it's a fantastic photo! The author should enter it in a photo competition - they would get first place! :dbgrtmb:

That may be so, but I can't look at it. That doesn't mean it isn't fantastic, it just means I can't look at it.

As I have ever had any kind of phobia - I don't like spiders to get too near me but that's not a phobia. It's probably the nearest I can get though! I think that's probably from when we lived in London & had an outside toilet. The toilet door was several inches from the floor & also from the top of the door frame. The tiny window must have been broken, (it was far beyond my reach at that time), as I can't remember ever it having been closed. There were often spiders on the toilet door as well as inside it. I would go several times to see if the spider had gone before going into the toilet & then looking all around to see if there were any inside! I'd be really bursting before I could go if it hadn't gone!

I think it's an inherent fear in humans but some people can get over it & love spiders! I've got to the point that I can now tolerate them in the bedroom all night, though if I see one before going to bed I will do my best to get rid of it!

I've still got an outside toilet and often get spiders, what is it about toilets that attract spiders.

When I was young we had one but not now - although compost heaps are enhanced by human urine and nobody can see us in our garden . When working out there I don't need to rush indoors for a pee. :rolleyespink:

But every gardener should have an outside bog.

My old outside one is now in the new utility room, just inside the back door  but it is full of junk so I can't get to it.
