Hi there, this is a newly (2 months) planted Pyrus salicifolia tree. About 5 foot high. Is this blight? And if so, what should I do with it? Is it worth saving, or should I get rid of as it's so young?

The leaves are well attached and rubbery - so not leaf fall. Looks fungal. Doesn't look like the fire blight images I see on line. I'm a bit stuck, as it's a client's and I've never come across it.

    Any help appreciated.
    Thank you.

hi its a lovely tree but have you watered it recently? these trees need water it looks it needs it
if any of the tree looks like its deseased or blight remove the effected leaves but it dont look too bad you might see new growth but i wouldnt get rid of it yet after all its young give it sometime at least a year

If the leaves are well attached it tends to suggest its dead.

Yes, one of my colleagues has suggested that. I'm not sure it's worth the effort of treating if it's already that bad! Thanks.

I'll go back and check, but I think it's best to get rid anyway. My client has packed too many things in while I wasn't looking and I'd be quite happy to get rid. Thank you.
