Things like this always cheer me up and glow worms always remind me of family and friends holidays at a place called Lodge Hill where the evenings were filled with BBQs in the woods surrounded by little glow worms :)

I felt miserable, so I went for a drive ... at 20 mph, in the rain, ... but the trees had some beautiful autumn colours, all glistening in the wet, and I saw two rainbows, and I had fish and chips and mushy peas in a nice cafe, served by a lovely lady with a very pleasant smile,
and then I had a coffee in another cafe, served by a not-so-pleasant lady with a scowl, but the coffee was nice
And when I arrived home my Erythronium bulbs had been delivered, and Bella greeted me by sleeping and totally ignoring the fact I'd walked into the room :cat-kittyandsmiley:
I feel much less miserable now

I got my ride-on mower back today, after it's service and repair. No chance of mowing anything at the mo, but I use it nearly every day with the trailer for weeding or carting prunings down to the bonfire heap. I felt quite bereft without it :) Also looking forward to the next mowing session with newly-sharpened blades :blue thumb:

Ha ! Would you believe it ... I have been able to download Libreoffice to my laptop without any difficulty at all :dbgrtmb: What a shock !! :yikes:

AND there's a 'thingie' at the bottom of the screen, to click on when I want to use it :yay:

I can't get over that :hapydancsmil:

AND AND I have been able to get the Libreoffice page where I can edit my photos to make them into cards,

AND I've been able to put the grid on the page, so that I can arrange the photos where I want them :love30:

Now I won't have to put the photos on an external drive and take them to the other laptop to make into cards. I can do it all on this one

Next, I have to get my printer tuned in to this laptop so that I can print the cards out. I will try that another time - I'm in too much of a shock to do it now :heehee:
and Bella is pestering me for food, and that takes priority over anything technological :cat-kittyandsmiley:

I feel a good day is forecast for you and Bella Michael, make the most of it.:dbgrtmb: So glad everything seems to have fallen in place for you. It's so strange when after having issues with something you can wake up one morning and it suddenly all works out perfectly. Enjoy your day in the glow of success.:)xx

                              Thank you @Upsydaisy,
For a total technologically illiterate person I think I have done well.

Don't ask me to do it again though, because I wouldn't know where to start ... it was more luck than judgement so it's a good job I don't need to

                              Have a lovely day xx

You sound just like me Michael, especially on the IT front. That always worries me too about being able to repeat a process. If by astounding pure luck I get something right on an IT issue, I have now learnt not to announce my success to my 4 IT buffs, otherwise they will expect no less from me in future. So I sneakily jot down what I think (:fingers crossed:) did in my little hidden book and keep.....
