Yes, it was the original we saw.
    The Entity - Wikipedia
I remember well we were living in Whitchurch, Bucks, and saw the movie in Buckingham. We drove home, rushed in and J locked the doors! He found it as disturbing as me. The Exorcist was a bit creepy.

    Have you watched The Entity?

J gone and i am trying to type with my feet on the CirculationMaxx and Munchkin on my lap! Van was on the back of the sofa by the window but has just now jumped down and gone back out. They both went out at 8am, for a brief wander.

It is 12c now and an all blue sky and sunny! Actually have the heat on for an hour or two (two foot thick clay walls gets cold in chilly weather). Had the lounge heater on for a couple of hours the last two evenings.

Saw the Exorcist at the Cinema when it was released, thought it Ok and funny at the time...young minds not so easily spooked back then. I was only 20 I think.

The new one is out now and showing at our Cinema....just the trailer spooks my old brain now!!! But I am considering going to see it maybe with my sister...haven't asked her yet though.

      I've seen the 2012 Enitiy,....behind a cushion.

          Good day
It has warmed up quite a bit and is 47f and the sky is completely blanketed with the exception of one blue gap. The guessers say the gap will expand and it will be sunny later :)

Horror Movies. I get a real chuckle out of the very old ones from the 40's and 50's. I know that I didn't go swimming for quite some time after seeing Jaws in the 70's. I was pregnant with my second son and felt I'd be an "eat one get one free" deal..:rolleyespink: I didn't think much of the Exorcist. Some things in real life are much more frightening.

After 189 bodies were found in Colorado funeral home, evidence suggests families received fake ashes

How would you like to be near that :yikes:

And funnily, I'm listening to a documentary style show about Jack the Ripper!

Not keeping up with physio usually comes back to bite one in the bum. I hope J isn't too sore but sore enough to learn a bit of a lesson.

I've got another busy day ahead. Mostly little chores that need doing. I'll get the bird feeder ready to set up and continue with the clean up out there. The outdoor gardening party is definitely at an end as the temps will be dipping again.

          Cheers all :coffee:

            Hi there Lori ,

It's awful isn't ,I've read about this so very disgusting and heart breaking for the family and friends who had thought that they had honoured their loved one's final wishes.:sad:

Tuesday. Morning all. 42 degrees here. 10:20AM.
Already busy with cleaning windows, removing some screens, replacing with the storm windows. Have to take one to the hardware store to fix. Pick up a bag of garden soil, repot a huge plant that needs to come inside this week.

Get to my Chess Club meeting. The young adults at the meeting are truly awesome, nice to be among them. Very sweet.

Made blue berry pancakes for breakfast, using the recipe Sour Cream pancakes, its really good, google if want.

Horror movies, probably saw a few many years ago, don't like them, not on my list when I settle down to find a movie. Just finished on Peacock " Book Club ". I kind of meander about on Netflix and Peacock. Settled in my lounge chair in my office, feet up at about 8PM, that's my evening.

OK, have a good day, got to get to the hardware store.

Good morning everyone, I hope your week is going well.

Not much to report this week as it's a tad boring because my main plans are centred around being home based so as to get the garden sorted. Main issue is that even that's not really working out as well as I had hoped due to our very changeable weather . We had thick slow shifting fog yesterday morning so I went over to see my sister , returned home for what was supposed to have been an Ok afternoon only to discover things had changed and the skies had darkened and we were having a weather warning for rain/ floods dumped on us!!

I give up !! We're out this morning to attend an appointment so fingers crossed that our grey and gloomy day stays dry enough for me to get a bit done outside later.

I'm not sure I will be able to persuade my sister to see the Exorcist... she wasn't tempted by the trailer at all!! Can't think why.:roflol:
She thought the sounds were scary playing out on my phone so goodness knows how horrendous they'll be via Dolby surround sound systems or whatever it is they use in Cinemas these days. I suggested she shouldn't wear her hearing aids if we did go but even that didn't convince her either.:heehee:

Never mind, I know my Cinema buddy friend wouldn't go so no point trying my luck there either.

I hope you all have a good day doing whatever it is you have planned.

                    :spinning:

I haven't got a theme so I will just put up Fairy Flowerpots, which I love.

Morning all. We both had a good night and had 7mm off rain overnight. We should go up to 24c so back to normal.

J has Doctor this morning ... his Blood Sugar is spiking again and he has face pain again, for which the Dentist took X-ray last month but she didn't contact after and he didn't follow up! I have asked him to ask why he is tired morning, noon and night.

                      Wishing all a good day.

Grrr ... MEN! I have just found out J is meeting Donald for lunch following his Doctor's appointment at 12 in Albufeira so he won't be home till 3ish and is leaving at 11! He insists he told me this on Monday ... but he did NOT. Then he will come home and sleep for an hour or so! Grrr!

                          Good day
It is very warm, 64f and spitting now and again. It is nice to have one more little treat of warm weather before the heat gets turned off. :)

Em was late getting up so I drove her to school in order to give her time to have her eggs and toast before going. And I did it in true Hilda style. Yes, minivan granny in rollers. Luckily for her it was still quite dark when I dropped her off however the street lights still managed to highlight my bright pink giant rollers! I bet she will remember to set her alarm tonight :heehee:

@Upsydaisy the last time I was at the cinema over here, I felt like I would leave with hearing damage as I found the sound level quite alarming. So I mostly try to wait until something comes on one of my movie stations at home. Yes, I'm always behind the times but at least I'm not deaf!

@Victoria I find that the first few weeks of shorter days in autumn make me sluggish and it takes me until at least November to adjust to all the darkness. You are only about 2 degrees closer to the equator than I am so perhaps this is affecting J ?

I've got lots of things I should be doing so I best get going.

                          Cheers all :coffee:

                            Oh dear Vicky not nice..xxx

Well I didn't go with hubs in the end as my hips are so very painful this week and I really couldn't face the walk there and back from the bus stop. He also did a bit of shopping after his appointment. He was gone just 2 hours but long enough to give me time to wash the kitchen , utility and downstairs toilet floors. I also gave our snug lounge a good clean through too. I find it quite hard at this time of year to get the opportunity to have a room free from a loitering 'body' and really hate having to dust and vacuum around people.
The Sun is trying it's best to show it's face so hoping to get an hour or two out in the garden.

Morning Lori, just noticed you have dropped by.

Thankfully I'm not deaf either despite being a regular cinema goer. I think it's worse for people like my hubs and sister who wear hearing aids.

                            Have a good day.:)

Morning all. Wednesday, 52 degrees here.
Hope to get some leaves pick up with the ridding mower in the front today, maybe a couple hours of it. Take it all to the burn pile and burn it up. But still a little dew damp this right now.

Yep, the cinema was too loud for me last time there, had some tissues with me, rolled up some and stuck in my ears. Next time--I am taking my ridding mower ear protection to put on. May look silly, but so what.

Chess club lovely yesterday, won two games. Have a hair appointment today, need about 2 inches off. Have to think about the packing for leaving Saturday. Food, and clothes, etc.

Have a grand day all .
