I was going to change from Vodafone to BT but then changed my mind ...
so BT confirmed the cancellation by email, and then, a week later sent me a router for when the changeover took place.

I returned the router - in fact I refused to take it from the poat man, and he said it would be returned to sender.
BT thanked me in an email for returning their router ... and then a week later sent me a plastic bag to return the router in.
I put it in the bin !

And something else - the buses have been cut so much here now that it is impossible to use them ... so I shall drive everywhere, and cause pollution and add to the volume of traffic using the already congested roads, that they have decided not to do anything about but leave congested.

I'm hoping not to get like that but I think it can easily happen, not been out for 4 weeks now, apart from a trip to physio.
I tell myself I must get out more but if I go somewhere for no real reason i just can't relax and start to go home, it just seems pointless.
I've never been someone to waste my time but often feel that is what I'm doing.
If I could I'd go back to work tomorrow.

Can you get a part time job? A number of my friends did that after they retired and found that not only did it give them something to do and to meet people but also felt good because they didn't really have to do it so didn't have to worry.

Miss Jiff & me have always had problems with people for some resson they want to push us around, even going to the shops we've had bad comments as to what we buy, just last week some one made a comment about the number of bannas we buy and then said we'd be swinging from the trees later, we just take it on the chin, the same person also shouted for more tills to be opened, funny thing is we haven't seen him since, may be he's banned :) but we have had so many problems with things we don't go out we've stopped going for walks the road is dangerous no one wants to sort it out ie police etc so we stay home, some neighbours have toll bad lies about us we don't care any more, our conferdents has gone, but if they new us at all they would soon be our best best friends but they don't now us :yahoo: :coffee:

But we also have had some very good things happen, Miss Jiff had some one do sometings and another person heard what had happen and he done something, he went to the problem person and had him up against the wall with he's hand around his throut

@Jiffy ,remarks like that wouldn't bother me, at least someone is talking to you and making a joke.
As to the roads, well, that's progress as they say.

I'd never go back to work, you get put on and your life isn't your own. I want to be in charge of my life and what I do, not let myself be controlled by some employer who doesn't give a s-h-i-t about me.

Haven't they got a brain ? Why can't they think of something to do ? I would never now let anyone tell me what to do. I am quite capable of thinking of something to do myself.
                  They must be brain-dead.

A Lollipop man? As long as you pretend to be a heroic defender of schoolchildren's' wellbeing you can spend your mornings being rude at drivers and as a leisurely pastime, write letters to council demanding increased road safety measures around schools.

Throwing slightly creepy, threatening looks at motorists are apparently part of the job's perks.

The kids will call you Mr or Sir to your face and secretly come up with a wonderful nickname.

You may even get a speed bump named after you!

                          Go for it @pete

I dont think I will ever understand the British legal system.
On the news some bloke has been given a life sentence with a minimum of 12 yrs.:roflol:

I'm guessing he would need to be around 90 years of age for that to be a possible life sentence.

@pete it is the same here. The courts pretty much obey what the feds said. Try to understand these poor killers. Hug a thug. And what is even dumber is this guy got loose and they still haven't found him after a week... :rolleyespink:
