Yes it worked this time

 

Munchkin enjoying the sun on my lap this morning ...

 

That's nice. Bella never comes on my lap. She stis next to me on the arm of a chair but that's all.

 

She either sits on J or on my lap, sometimes for an hour at a time, as she did in the sun. Now she is on J. The boy Van is out but will come in and jump on J ... and Munxh will hiss and spit and move. Van never sits on me but lies across me on the bed.

 

The Unknown ginger moggy comes in each morning and sits on my lap when I'm trying to eat my weetabix every morning.
He then settles down and sleeps till midday then wanders off, god knows where he goes or where he comes from.

 

Do you leave a bit of milk in the bottom of the bowl for him? I always do.

 

No, I dont want to encourage him.
I always left some for the dog when I had one.

 

I tried that with Bella and she walked away from it in disgust Previous cats enjoyed it, but not Bella !

 

Some animals, and people can't digest milk.

 

One cat many years ago had diarrhea after drinking milk, but she enjoyed it (ie the milk!)
She lived until she was 23 yrs old.
It didn't affect any other cats we had, but I have heard it said one should not give milk to a cat.

 

Yes, I have heard/read that too. But after 56 years of cats owning me. they have all been fine, Magic Sam/Boo loved a little warm milk every morning when it was cold and he lived his first five years in the UK and last 15 here in Portugal and and for four years travelled between the two. Van likes chocolate covered raisins. Like with humans, a little bit of what you like doesn't hurt.

 

A previous cat called Garfield, liked grapes, I used to cut them in half for him. Strange how some like what you'd think a cat wouldn't.
Bella is the fussiest cat I've ever known !
