I'm guessing you are on 19th century cabling.
A cow scratches it's arse on the pole and all the lights go out.

That's the problem, I'm not sure, but I believe it's the Hamas side that is trying to recruit her and all I've been able to do is give her the facts about who actually broke the cease fire on October 7th and also I told her that no one over here is going to change the course of actions taken over there no matter how much yelling and screaming they do.

I'm fed up with these people landing here claiming they want to be Canadian, all the while hauling their old grudges and prejudices along with them and indoctrinating their kids to follow along. Real Canadians just want to live and let live!

I think most normal people feel the same way here, but we keep importing trouble.

I was thinking yesterday why are we giving this as much attention as we are, we cant change what is happening, if those demonstrating would like to buy a ticket out there and get stuck in I wouldn't mind, but they feel safe here to say and do whatever they like while hiding behind Britain.
I'm no supporter of the Labour party but they appear to be ripping themselves apart over something we cant change.

By the way, the war in Ukraine appears to have stopped.:dunno: Old news.:roflol:

All the main cables were renewed a few years back

Yes, to cow scratching it's arse on a stay wire and it broke and wire went into the live wires of the tranformer and it went bang big time, also power people were working not far away, we rang up to say we didn't have any power, lady said that you have been with out power all day, we said we have had power all though the day, then the penny droped and she looked at the map and said o yes  we point them in the right place were the sparks could be seen so then they had a night job as well

A few weeks ago i bought a so called squirrel proof bird feeder, one of those feeder in a cage.
When I got it home it fell apart, the plastic inserts fell out of the main tube, anyway, persevered and put it back together best I could.
First thing the squirrel did was rip the top off the thing to get to the seed, so I lowered it and refitted the top.

Just been out to refill it and all the plastic gubbins fell apart again, I kind of lost my temper and stamped on the useless piece of rubbish, and the metal cage, fell over, forgetting my knees are rubbish and ended up on my back.
Took me 5 mins to get up.
The feeder is now in the bin and putting the £17 down to experience.

I buy my feeders from the Poundshop, when they become unusable I throw them away.
I tried to use my printer today, it kept telling me the paper was jammed, I found a thin piece of card and rammed it in, but nothing (paper) came out.....and it now works......So Epson printers lie:huh:

My squirrel proof feeder is good but cost a lot. The weight level can be adjusted and the whole thing is made of metal.

I have something similar to your feeder @shiney - just a different shape and yes, anything over a certain weight causes the access to snap shut. It has an adjustment for the trigger weight which I leave on the "light" setting. Mine is green as they didn't have this pretty blue back when I bought it.[IMG]
I then had to put a bird table just under it as the seeds go flying everywhere!

Apparently, there are moves afoot to reduce the school summer hols in Welsh schools. Good for parents no so good for the education budget. Mark is making sure to go out with a flourish.

The summer hols are 5 weeks at the mo. Proposed reduction to 4 weeks. Found out that the lost week will be added to the autumn term, so same number of days hols overall.
