I'm giving 6 to my friend Marion and we'll have one every day most days, they do keep for a long time in a airtight container.

Went to see my friends Marion, Barry and Geoffrey. Marion was married to Geoffrey and they had their granddaughter staying for the weekend, her name is Layla after that well known song of the same name.
              Barry is Marion's partner.

Made the breadcrumbs for the sage and onion stuffing and put it in the freezer.

Why did you not have any with your turkey dinner? I love stuffing with turkey or chicken, even in sandwiches.

We are having Southern Fried Chicken goujons and ???? tonight.

Sorry @Logan I'm not a stalker I promise....I hit the follow button accidentally. :oopss:
I have never come across anyone who prepares so well in advance for a meal as you to do.!! Do you have a lot of family/ friends over for Christmas Day.? If I'm at home ( we weren't last year or for this year :hapydancsmil:) and all our brood are here then I do prepare as much as possible the day/ evening before. So that I have time to visit the Cemetery in the morning and have time with the brood before dinner is served around 1:30.

So I can fully appreciate the need for advanced prepping. You need the time to socialise with guests obviously.

My old garden vacuum packed in today. It must be around 10 years old so cant complain. It was B&Qs own make. Just ordered a more powerful hyundai model which was in the black friday sales at 40 gbp.

                        Christmas thingies :)

Filled my half of the advent calendar drawers with things like cheapy wacky earrings, Lindt chocolate balls, lacy gloves and totally inappropriate rubber wrist bracelets for The Baby

It's a fun challenge to find things that fit in the tiny drawers and it's considered cheating if there is a slip of paper directing the recipee to find their gift elsewhere. We now split the drawers but I claim to fill 1 and 24 because The Baby is my Baby :)

                        calendar.jpg

Bought a 2L Kilner biscuit jar to be filled with sweets, speciality tea bags and hot chocolate pouches for The Baby, she'll eat the sweets and the jar will come in very handy, we already have one for biscuits and its great. The jar will hopefully look impressive on Christmas morning.

The Baby is always touched when I buy her childhood favourites such as candy necklaces that I refused to buy when she was small as they are such a artificial sugary crap. I think that at 22 her body can tolerate that. :heehee:

Bought a Killer Sudoku for kids- book for my niece and some Ian Moore novels for us, plus a biscuit tin for my sister who hinted that she would really like some fudge as fudge is not widely available in Finland. Various fudges have already been bought so now it's just fitting them in and wrapping up plus starting the battle with UPS.

...and bought the fourth Richard Osman book for myself, the books are not that life changing but highly readable and I wanted something new to read

Went for a walk and found this, which I think is Hericium cirrhatum, an extremely rare mushroom only recorded once in Scotland before. Need confirmation though

Love the biscuit tin @Selleri .

I have tried several times to get into Richard Osmon's books but only ever managed at the most 2 chapters...I just can't put my finger on what is putting me off. I love reading and always have at least 2 on the go. So strange.:noidea:

The Osmans are a bit strange, technically most characters are very likeable but in reality they remain quite shallow. With the exception of Bogdan the Illegal Immigrant, who develops into a very warm character (spoiler) :)

For me the books are great just because they are something I haven't read before. I tend to go back to old favourites I know inside out, such as Agathe Christies.

I usually have two or three books on the go, some books need to be read in large, immersive chunks and some are the kind of ten minute grabs at the time and sometimes the mood requires something more informative like the history of British gardens I just found in a charity shop.

Plus the guilty pleasures of nipping to the bookshelf and reading a kids book in one go when I should really be ironing :)

I make all of the stuffing at Christmas time for the rest of the year but i ran out a month ago.
No it's just the 2 of us, son visits a few weeks earlier and only stays for a few hours.
I just like to prepare early and not panic at the last minute or something comes up.
I make the freezer work for me.
I prepare the turkey the day before and make the stuffing.
