A Joke Or Two 2023/24

The next time it snow's I will do this, but with being a pillar of the community, I will blame my son.

 

Just a tad naughty.
An Essex girl and an Irish guy are in a bar, when the Essex Girl notices something strange about the wellies the Irish guy is wearing:
She says. “Scuse me mate, I aint being funny or nuffink, but why doz one of your wellies 'ave an L on it and the uva one’s got an R on it?”
The Irish guy smiles, puts down his glass of Guinness and replies. “Well, oim a little bit tick you see. The one wit the R on it is for me roight foot
and the one wit the L is for me Left foot”
“Cor blimey.” Exclaims the Essex girl. "So THATS why me knickers 'ave got C&A on them!

 

As an Essex girl I thought I'd heard them all @Logan - but not that one.

 

You must be a more intelligent Essex girl Sheal.

 

I've never spoken like that which in fact comes from the overspill of London into Essex down the years. The genuine Essex accent and language is actually closer to that spoken in the south-west of England.

Which ever way I answer the above I'll probably be digging myself a deep hole so I'll keep shtum.

 

I'd have said rural Suffolk/Norfolk.

 

I know in Kent there always seemed to be two kinds of speaking, the townies often get taken for Londoners, in places other than London, but the old rural folk did have a bit of a yokel type of way of speaking which is rarely heard now.
