Morning all I slept well but feel like I could sleep more .... so may have a lie in! Van has popped out to look around and Munchkin is still on the bed waking up, J is on his phone scrolling and I am here wishing you all a peaceful day.

We met on Christmas Day 1967 so it is our anniversary.

A relaxing day for us watching Christmas movies and having a Spicy Beef and Noodle dish we brought back from the Chinese this evening.

        Good day
It is mild and foggy. 40F 4C.

@Upsydaisy I hope hubby's forgetfulness doesn't impede Christmas feasting and celebrating. Remember that you and your son/his partner outnumber your hubby so you can make sure he stays on track. Sounds like he is repeating things that he really liked doing and recalling the good bit about his chatting about it is that it was "happy" memorable. :)

@Flumpy I have a sweet tooth and trifle sounds absolutely yummy. Please pass me a serving? @Victoria I like a lot of the older Christmas movies and try to having them running, at least in the background, all Christmas day :dbgrtmb:

I brought the second bird up from the cellar refrigerator and oops, it hasn't fully thawed so he will sit on the counter for the morning. I usually don't defrost things outside of the refrigerator but needs must in this case!

Hopefully all will go well today and tomorrow morning after a bit of put things back in order, I'll be back to gardening  Boxing day is my day for starting my super hot chillies :)

@Upsydaisy @Victoria @Flumpy @Michael Hewett @john558 @redstar, a very Merry Christmas to all of you. Feast, hug those you love, and be kind to yourselves.

        Cheers :heehee:

          Merry Christmas to all.
Its almost 9AM. 40 degrees here.
Will spend a quiet day about. Have not unwrapped any gifts yet. We take it slow in that area anymore. And I did get him something useful. And I did see the gift under the "plant/tree" that he "thought" he hidden well, for me. (not that I was looking) but glad I saw it.
Went to a lovely Christmas Eve service last night, the children did a cute little skit, so sweet they are. Have to look up the history of the church, looks really old.

Glad tidings to you all, and Peace be with you.

Morning to everyone, how are you all doing?

Just heading out with son, he wants to buy some clothes from a particular store.....I'm just tagging along and will settle myself with a coffee and
do a spot of people watching. We're going to Stratford, Westfield Stratford City, apparently the biggest shopping mall in Europe.

Then we have son no. 2 and his other half coming over this afternoon.

Hubs would prefer to stay home, although he is prone to changing his mind at the last minute...so we'll see.

What are you all up to?

Wherever your plans are have a fabulous time.

              :seasonsgreetings:

Good Morning Sunrise.jpeg on this fine, sunny St Stephen's Day which most of Europe celebrates but not Portugal which is strange as it is a Catholic holiday.

Nothing planned here so I shall do some more computer cleanup and a little crochet which I took a break from over the weekend.

Watched Mog's Christmas and Tabby McTat yesterday and started watching the Reba TV series, funny.

Enjoy your outing Upsy, a nightmare for me, and this afternoon.

Well we didn't go to Stratford after all as the station is closed today but will probably go tomorrow. We could've caught a bus but it goes all round the houses and would take ages and son no.2 will be here at 2 pm. We have warned them to look at alternative routes.:dbgrtmb:

Son and I still went out for an hour though...lovely sunny day here.:SUNsmile:

Sorry Flumpy? You've lost me .... our 2 sons here haven't been anywhere ...Eldest one we are staying with and middle one and his fiancee live only an hour away. Youngest one is the one away in South America until Feb but we had 2 video calls from him yesterday and we will video call him this afternoon so we can 'sort of ' all be together. :hapydancsmil::yahoo:

                      Good day
It is still mild. 39f 3c and the clouds aren't dumping anything.

I woke up at silly o'clock again and have put away all the good cutlery and tableware. The last kitchen item to scrub is the roasting pan and it is having a good long soak at the moment. The tablecloth and napkins are just finishing in the washer. The extra leaf to the table is out and the dining room back into good order. All was done while I'm still in my jammies :heehee: I'll iron the table linens later. I usually roll the tablecloth onto a tube the size of it's width as I iron it and then it is ready to roll out for the next feast. Easy peasy ;)

Emily's sister, my youngest grandchild, Izzy stayed overnight and they are still asleep so I believe I can sneak out and get the fruit and veg I need to replenish the fridge before those two even open an eye.

Sam brought me the most unique gift I've had in years. I believe it was originally a case for teeny tiny parts that she had decided would make a great seed storage unit for me. It is fabulous! It has 64 little containers. It has labels but I also think I'll add little dots of coloured paint. Such as green for veggie seeds, red for hot chillies, p for perennials, etc. :)

I'm glad to hear you're visiting with both of the sons who are in the country @Upsydaisy. :dbgrtmb: @Flumpy we had pumpkin pie and whipped cream but I really would have preferred your creation. @Victoria sounds like you got a bit catty again this Christmas :heehee:

                      Cheers all :coffee:

Good Morning Ears.jpeg A sunny fresh start to the day.

Don't know of anything going on here today but guess J will go by the Post Office as it is open today following the Christmas break. Not expecting anything exciting. It will close next Monday and Tuesday too.

Have a good day all whatever you are doing.

                                Good morning everyone .

                                Awww love Tabby McTat.Vicky

Lori what a lovely thoughtful gift...might just nab that idea .;)

No worries Flumpy....yes we're very fortunate to have 3 gorgeous sons that have made us very proud to have become such loving and caring young men.

redstar son has a fridge full of ' left overs' that will keep us fed for a few days too ,so no cooking will be needed here either.

Can't believe it's our last whole day here today....it's flown by so quick.....I can already feel the stirrings of the Mummy Blues.....

I'm just heading out with son to Stratford .....apparently the station will be open.

                                Have a great day everyone.

                                :spinning:
