    Good morning everyone.

Just going to hang out a load of laundry, I normally don't like going out and leaving a line of washing out just in case someone in the nearby allotments decides to have a bonfire. We had planned on going out today but as the weather is on the change over the weekend ..rain and gales..we had no other option than to get all the laundry done and out of the way before the bad weather hits.

Just having a day in town ,nothing particularly planned just a wander , might buy another pair of waterproof walking shoes.....with our weather you can never have too many pairs!! :heehee: Then we'll have lunch out somewhere.
It'll be nice to get out for the day as we've been pretty house bound this week with one thing or another.
Whatever plans you have ..enjoy you day.

        Morning Vicky.

No not wellies!! Any shoe that isn't canvas or other fabric really.
Some fabric ones do claim to be waterproof but they aren't really.

I just need another pair that will allow me to slip them on and wade up our lane during high tide!!:heehee: I don't mind what they look like as they will only be worn with trousers/ jeans so functionable rather than fashionable....but not wellies.

Enjoy your day in the sun.xx

            Friday morning, 9:35AM.
Birds happy, got more seed for them, reloaded suet containers. Now its snowing fluffy making it misty foggy outside, sort of a semi white out.
Just on to whatever is needed to be done ---inside, no leaving to go anywhere.

After all those years of dealing with staffing issues during storms, worried about coverage, still days like this bring back those memories of finding staff, asking staff to stay another shift, getting the snow plow guy to clean up so staff would get in, making sure medications were delivered, electric stayed on, on and on. Now, today---somebody else has those issues. I just watch it snow.

            Have a good day all.

              They look nice Vicky :)

I do have 2 pairs of ordinary leather ankle boots too, a black pair and a tan fur lined ( not real fur) pair, both from Marks and Spencer. Had them years..the tan pair since 2011!! However I wouldn't want to wear them to negotiate our wet and muddy lane during the bad spells that we frequently seem to get during our winters.

Didn't manage to get any today but will go into our local town tomorrow. if I can't find what I want then I will place an order with the shop.

                Good morning.

It's the calm before the storm today. Back with old wind and rain tomorrow, just as our lane has almost dried up. We do however now seem to have adopted a new little stream which is obviously the run off from the sloping fields and woodlands opposite our place and the resulting water now flows gently as a brand new little steam through the woods that are further down our lane.

We might pop into our local little town at some point today, trying to get all outstanding errands done before the wet weather arrives.

That's about as exciting as it gets today, hope you enjoy your day.

Morning to a weekend, which should be dry for us with no more rain for the month.

As usual, a quiet weekend here, lazing about watching a few films.

                  Have a good one.

Saturday morning, 10:30AM. Woke to a nice surprise, some kind neighbor snow blew our long driveway. Plan to get out in it today to do some shoveling, walk ways etc. some of the deck. But not to over do it. Might venture out to the store later today, to the food store for milk, butter, eggs. Roads look good.
Husband has been working on a long tedious project, he has lots of old corvette parts to sell, pricing them out using the books, then we have to somehow get the word out, either ebay or some other means of marketing the items.
The photo contest, of which I won 2 nd place last year is on again, so found some shots to enter. We shall see, its all a neat experience. Meeting new folks etc. Take care all.

Hope you're all having a relaxing weekend.

We are bracing ourselves for the windy weather thats sweeping across the country today. Compared to some areas we are getting off lightly with top wind speeds of 58 mph, further along the coast in Sussex they reach the mid 60's.

Just going outside to do a final check on things and to generally batten down the hatches.

Keep safe and have a good day.

Morning all. A nice bright start to the day but a nippy 7c. A sunny day ahead to the mid teens.

Watched The Glass Menagerie with Katherine Hepburn and Sam Waterman yesterday ... she always looks the same but boy was he young! Also watched Torturo, a Japanese cartoon, very cute.

Just a quiet day in Paradise here.

                          Sunday morning. almost 11:40AM.
Finished watching a film about Beatrix Potter, really interesting. She certainly was an assertive young women. Shame her mother was so narrow minded.

Just doing the usual tasks about the house. nothing exciting. Paperwork, filling bird feeders, laundry, some cleaning etc. and nothing .

Take care folks, have an awesome day.

Well that was a very noisy windy day and night yesterday, thankfully a lot calmer today.
First job is to go for a walk around the house and garden to check for any possible damage.
After doing the Monday housework tasks I'm hoping for an afternoon outside preparing some compost for seed sowing. I will undoubtedly pay for it tomorrow with arm/ shoulder ache from all the sieving.

Have a brilliant day now everybody.

When Giraffes are born they are already six foot tall! They have such beautiful big eyes.

Morning all. Love that mug Upsy. I do hope you have a better day today and that nothing has been damaged.

We are forecast for a sunny day with temps near the high teens ... and even low 20s in the week.

I sorted costume jewellery to give away yesterday. Some is expensive (like £35-50) so might continue today after cycling.
