If all three weather links I look at are correct, we should have a warm wet week. It is snowy and icy up North though. But being old wimps, we like our fires. :heehee:

We too have milder wetter weather on the way Vicky.:dbgrtmb:

What has made me happy...well, after almost 4 years ,and numerous call outs followed by assurances that all is fixed after two hour maintenance checks Open Reach have finally replaced the wires from the far end of our lane down to us . These wires only supply us and I think they just tried to do cheap repairs but today they've been here inside and (mainly ) outside since 8am and have now called to say all the wires have been replace and that in 48hrs time out internet speeds will be back in the mid 20's and not 10 or less as we've had to put up with......and we now have our landline back in fully functional mode too.

Really hoping this long saga is finally over. :fingers crossed: :fingers crossed:

It wasn't the rogue wave that made off with one of my sandals this a.m. but the fact that I managed to grab the beach bag containing mobile, purse and all the other bits and bobs in it, before the Caribbean made off with them. Very happy!

This might be a daft question @noisette47 but why are you in the Caribbean?

Because it ’s warmer than the Atlantic  First holiday for 18 years. Would have preferred to go back to Goa, but no direct flights from Bordeaux whereas Guadeloupe is easy-peasy.

Went shopping this morning armed with a letter for the staff to where we go :), we handed it over to the lady at Customer service (we know well) it didn't take long for the said letter to be past around the staff, we was asked if we still had the letter from 7 years ago, which we did and we added to it as well, why, well some of the staff were having a bad time and manger was a bit of a pain, so we changed that and hopefully the manger will look twice at the way they treat their staff, i did get spooted looking through the big window as they were reading the letter with big smiles on their face's  the manger will read said letter (as customer service will give it to them) and take note!! ( nowt said bad or nasty but funny and to the point ;) !!!!

Back home and OH, cats and chickens are all still alive . Not only that, but all the plants have survived, the indoor orchid has 3 flower spikes and after evicting a caterpillar from my precious Curry Leaf plant, it too has survived it's 'holiday' indoors. Oh and my attempt at international rum-smuggling paid off handsomely, so it'll be ti-punches and mojitos all round for a couple of months :heehee:
