I've been known to smear just a small amount of Vaseline on plug pins to make them slide in and out easier.

You'd love French plugs, @Michael Hewitt  Small, round things that need two hands and legs braced against the wall to pull them out. Then the socket comes with them :roflol: They've recently introduced small, round things with an integral plastic loop for us oldies. Guess who's changing all her plugs?

When I was a kid the neighbours used to not bother with plugs and just push the wires into the holes, we had really old sockets in those days.

Thanks for the link @NigelJ It might be worth me getting some of them ...

I remember my dad doing that, and putting bits of wood to hold the wires in ... and warning me not to touch them.

You could almost get your little finger into those old 15 amp sockets, I once pushed part of a metal toy into one and remember the strange tingling sensation.

I bought a bottle of Hand Sanitizer, the label on the back said, "This is not food, do not eat"

                      Luckily for us!
My Mum and Grandad thought it was hilarious at the Natural History Museum, where there was a big wooden box and a protruding metal button that gave you a shock when you touched it. Go on, go on, they chorused. So, being an obedient child, I did :dunno: I ask you, is that any way to treat your offspring? My hair went 'dandelion crazy'. It probably explains a lot about subsequent behaviour as a teenager....:roflol:

When I used to go and get my prescriptions at the Chemists it was always a case of at least a 20 minute wait after being in the queue going out the door for 5 min or more.

If pharmacists start doing diagnosis and prescribing for people its just going to be chaos.

The usual reply after leaving a prescription until the next day before picking up was, oh it just needs to be checked it will be about 10 minutes.
They cant cope and haven't for the last 10 yrs around here.

Cafes and restaurants that automatically smother salad in dressing before serving a meal. I like my salad 'straight' and think, as a few years back, it should be served in a little jug for the diner to choose whether they want it.

And on the same subject, a salad doesn't seem to have lettuce any more but a lot of rocket served with a couple of dried up pieces of cucumber and a small, bitter tomato. I don't like rocket.

                                I prefer salad cream, but that's because I'm common.

Who ever invented Mayonnaise has a lot to answer for.

You try getting tuna sandwich that isn't just oozing the stuff, disgusting.
