Anyone do Premium Bonds ?

I won £1,000 before I left the UK.

 

I got £200 in December but nothing since.

 

Oh well that settles it, they are not worth having.
That 15 quid could be almost 300 by now if you had invested it wisely

 

Did have some many years ago before I met this expensive lady , though never won anything significant

That's because Martin Lewis is like Shiney and doesn't realise its like doing the lottery.
You can win big, but you can win nothing, but unlike the lottery you get to keep your stake money.

 

I'm quite surprised that they have not

1; Raised the maximum number of Premium Bonds that we can hold.

2; Started drawing the prize numbers every fortnight, instead of once monthly.

 

Never won anything

 

You have to buy some first.

 

I do have some from a long time ago and still the number don't come up, the more you buy the more chances of winning, looked at put the full amount in as i know some one that did, and then i looked at the winnings at the time it was better to but money into a savings acount

 

It's where you buy something for £15 and wait 60yr to see if you win something.

 

I think the old saying about putting all your eggs in one basket is a good idea.

 

We have had them for years and mainly just won up to £100 usually £25 or £75.
We have closed and re opened a couple of times but I am not sure it makes a difference.
