As has been said 'bully' dogs tend to attract, in most cases, the wrong kind of owner. Yes, they can be trained to kill, but dogs of all kinds have a natural instinct not necessarily to attack but to defend themselves when they don't understand the situation they're in.

My son (living in America) has an American Pitbull. His wife rescued it as a pup from someone who wanted rid of it. Although when around people he knows he's a gentle dog, but he can't be trusted at all with strangers and my son is very aware of that. He also has another smaller dog (Australian Shepherd) and the two get on very well.

Just had a letter from council for electoral register info, on reading it,

      Dear Occupier
Ahead of the local elections on the 2nd of may2024, being registered to vote gives you the right to participate at elections and could impove your credit rating

How can voting impove your credit rating?? or is this a gag to get people to vote
As i haven't voted mine must now be low

Well, he looks the type, he was even breeding them knowing that they are now restricted.

On the news it said that the woman was left with two adult dogs and five puppies and was told to use a broom to separate the puppies if they start fighting. I wonder how old the puppies were as pups only usually play fight anyway.

If she appeared to be attacking the puppies with a broom its fairly easy to guess how it all happened to someone the dogs didn't know.

But..... if a poodle gets angry, it cant do much damage. Pets are still animals and can be triggered to ignore training.

Well yes but we dont all want poodles, but if a German shepherd or a Rottweiler or Doberman gets aggressive they could also kill you, especially two together as in this case.

I wouldn't expect someone, unknown to the dogs, even if a pair of Labradors, to be left in charge if they had puppies.
Its just the wrong combinations of everything.

I said that yesterday to my hubs that I wondered if it was an extremely sad result of puppy protecting. It's a natural instinct to protect your offspring for all species.:sad:

My moan for to day is this is also the always jam packed entrance to the Medway Tunnel Total chaos it took me 3 hours for a usual journey of 20 minutes:mad:

                Closed for 3 months.
In a change to the original plan, Medway Council is to shut the A228 Frindsbury Hill in both directions from the Sans Pareil roundabout from March 11 to June 21 so work can be carried out at the entrance to a new secondary school – the Maritime Academy.

Drivers are being warned to expect delays as two busy roads are shut for gas works.

Banks Road and Station Road in Strood closed yesterday morning for SGN utility repairs to take place.

This kind of thing is getting out of hand, you cant go anywhere, I've never known all this work that needs to be done and it all involves closing roads, often for months.

A town near us has their main road closed for over a month. Most of the other roads are narrow country roads so heavy lorries have difficulty in passing. Some roads have sections where even two cars can't pass!

Re' XL Bullies....it's a shame many have been put down...they should have given them to the police ,they'd have sorted the wrong 'uns' out.

Re' the roads ...it's coming to something when round these parts you see the air ambulance more than the road ambulances ...the roads are so grid locked there's no way an ambulance could get through the traffic.

Problem here is that everyone decides to do road works at the same time. So alternative routes are blocked as well. How does that work?

All the schools here are closed tomorrow due to a light dusting of snow during above zero temperatures. Capital idea I reckon...

We have the main A274 closed for 6 weeks, a stupid diversion that takes traffic miles out of its way, artics trying to get down a lane that hardly two cars can pass on because they are trying to avoid the detour.
At the same time they are spending 3 months:yikes: to install traffic lights on a road that is the only really sensible route to get to the M20 for a lot of industrial sites and the thousands of houses they keep building.
Lots of other closed roads and tempory traffic lights in other places locally.

I've never know so much work work that "needs" to be done, when the better weather comes they will be closing the same roads to bodge up the potholes that the "weather" has created.
