It's in the foothills by the dam. I think he lets a guy graze his sheep/goats on one part. And he used to keep bees.

Still wet here today but with a teasing promise of a glimpse of sunshine later...hmmm I won't hold my breath.

Nice visit with my brother yesterday.:) A neighbour called by to check on him and a carer came to push him in his wheelchair to the restaurant for his lunch which I found very encouraging.

We went on into Winchester afterwards ,a pleasant afternoon despite the rain.

No plans today apart from maybe going to a nearby superstore to pick up a few bits. I also hope to get a couple of trays sown with seeds that I didn't get round to doing the other day .

        Have a fab day everyone..

          Morning all.

WE had a lovely wet day yesterday with a decent amount of rain. Expecting similar today with perhaps odd periods of sun. It is lightly raining now but it is bright on the horizon.

Squeak spent the day up to 10ish in The Jungle Room. I will make a poster today to put on our gate. I received plant from Spain yesterday, posted in Hibiscus rosa-sinensis thread, but can't pot it up till I have a dry spell (may be Sunday).

J meeting the boys for Friday lunch.

Morning Vicky ..what an adorable pic!! :imphrt:

Glad to hear you've had some decent rainfall at last.

We are currently experiencing only a light drizzle at the moment so hopefully I 'll get the chance to get out there and do a few bits this morning, before going out this afternoon. We might also call in to my sister's on the way home.

That's good that your plant arrived.:blue thumb:

            Have a lovely day.xx

              Good day
It is ridiculously warm 50f 8c and rising with the brilliant sunshine. I decided to get the mug rugs done before sitting down to socialize and that is why I'm showing up so late.

@Upsydaisy I am glad to hear that your brother is able to join the rest of the community for his meals, thanks to his carer. Good one!

@Victoria I am also glad to hear you got free water and the good stuff with lots of bonus nitrogen. Your garden will be doing a happy dance. L)

I have to go out to do a bit of shopping but I'll get that done quickly so as to get outside and enjoy the free vitamin D :)

I need to pick up some gerbil or hamster bedding as I am making a ham. I had given mine away years ago and now regret it. A new one is quite pricey so I shall just make my own. And my friend sent me a pattern to make my own swiffer washable refills which I shall work on when things cloud over.

              Cheers :coffee:

Hello all. again awesome weather. bits of inside stuff. Now off to more leaf removal and some pruning. Was cleaning out a shrub yesterday that had a bunch of fallen leaves in it, there was a cute sweet nest.
Super bowl on Sunday, anyone watch it?
                Later.

Definitely a Happy Saturday......it's forecast to remain dry !!!:hapydancsmil:

Lori must ask what is a swifter washable refill?? ,and why do you need hamster bedding ?? I must live a very sheltered life I think. :noidea:

I intend to make the most of this dry day today although I think we could be in for another one on Monday too. Lots I would like to get done and ticked off my list, so no time to hang about today.

Hope you have a super day everyone.

                    winter Spring

                    Good morning all!

I’ve woken up to blue sky and frost after a wet, windy, sleety week….let’s hope that’s it with wet weather, we’ve had trees falling down in place because the ground is so soggy with to much rain
                    Roll on spring!

Victoria that kitten looks adorable :wub2:

I will catch on reading our forum to see how you’ve all got on this week.

Lori what is a swift refill ?

It's lovely and bright and sunny today and the garden looks so fresh.

Gosh a weekend is here already.

J is buying a guitar in Val de Telha Aljezur on the West Coast this afternoon so I shall go along for the ride. Haven't been that way in years, about an hour plus, so a nice outing in the sun.

                          Morning Karen.
J drives too fast to take pictures. It's there and back, no stopping for scenery.

My dental appointment is on the 23rd. It is no rush, not painful, and I want Rui a Dental Surgeon, and not at his normal place at Alvor Hospital but at the Guia Cliinic near us.
                          :rolleyespink:

Hope you are well with no stress at work. xx

One of my hobbies was/is photography. Years ago J used to take me out on Sunday afternoons so I could photograph the countryside. Most photos are taken from the car ... occasionally he would stop and I would hop out. There is one pic of Aljezur here ...

                              Hi there Vicky and Karen.

Sounds like you have a nice day ahead Vicky..enjoy.

You're optimistic Karen ,we've only got a couple more dry( ish) days forecast for the next fortnight. Still have our 2 steams running down our lane ,where they combine to make a little river ...with a tumbling waterfall I might add :heehee: that then runs off through the woods.
Trees have come down here too, no trains were running from our local station on Thursday due to lines blocked by a couple.

So very soggy ,even though we're suppose to remain dry for the rest of today we did have some rain first thing. Having to put wooden planks down to walk on it places so that I can continue working out in the garden. I don't want to leave it and get behind as it just makes for a mammoth job later which will result in playing havoc on my poor joints that are already very achy due to the extremely high moisture levels that are surrounding us.

Just taken the sprouted seedlings out for a day in the greenhouse .

We had considered going to Salisbury today, but with this lovely dose of sunshine decided the day would be better spent out here in the garden.

                              Have a fab day.:SUNsmile::smile::gardening:

work is still hectic, and they are cutting our hours by five hours each, so I’m going to be off every Wednesday from March, this will give me time to look for another job and have interviews as it’s not looking good here.

Hubby and I are going to walk it to my parents house this afternoon as the weather is dry, should be a good half hour walk, Hubby wants to exercise more he said :spinning:
