It's like the scrappage scheme, how many vehicles actually get scrapped or end up in other Countries. We had to write off our Scania last year due to a blown engine and I could not justify the cost of a refurb. I only got £1200, I was gutted, I only had a new body fitted to the wagon 14 months earlier at a cost of £20,000 exc vat. We had to avoid low emissions zones with that truck but it is actually now in Africa, how many other vehicles are now getting shipped abroad due to emission regs in the UK

 

Just go to southamton docks and your'll see lots of second hand lorry's being loaded onto ships

 

So bearing in mind all of this is global, how are we saving the planet by selling our old polluting stuff abroad.

 

We're saving our half of the planet Pete and be damned with the rest of it. It's all lunacy!

 

I've given up up saving the planet when you hear the amount of rockets going up to space, you bit of saving mean's nowt!!!!

Anathema, I think you can get tablets for that.

 

About the same as it was when I was at school, but I cant remember how much it was, it was fairly small in comparison to Nitrogen and Oxygen.
