I know this is a long shot ,and I can't remember if I have asked before but.......
Mum bought a chaple chicago wind organ from the old chapel when it was knocked down in
    1960 s.

We are now in the situation.........what can we do with it /who would be interested in this.???

    Grateful for any suggestions.

    How old is it?
    Who made it?
Is it a pipe organ, a harmonium or some thing else entirely?

Is it the same size as an upright piano with a couple of pedals you pump ? Used to have one of those in the family home when our village chapel closed. Great fun to play, lots of stoppers to change the tone.

Depends on the condition. In poor condition you'll struggle to give it away.

I had a quick look on ebay and they sell for very little, they take up so much space compared to modern electronic organs. I can't see many people wanting one. But it might be a rare make or model so worth listing for someone who collects.

          Oh yes fatally.
WWII Germans trying to mine the Humber, one of them missed and a large mine dropped through the roof, through the floors, hit the cellar floor and detonated, grandmother was in the room above, my grandfather was blown into the street, my father into the garden and his siblings were all injured.

Goodness me that is terrible @NigelJ. My mum witnessed the Scarborough blitz when german mines were dropped on the town, I still have a piece of the silk parachute cord used to float the mines down, she salvaged afterwards. Her sister was working in the munitions factory they were going for at the time and was saved by sheltering under a bench. Terrifying times.
