Have a feeling bowling is more in tuned with the areas that keep a longer winter, as its an indoor sport, and a group activity. In a one to ten likeable activity I give it a 6, number is higher because it can be a nice social gathering with friends.

        Good morning everyone.

We currently have another damp and grey morning here but with a chance of slightly better weather blowing in this afternoon.:fingers crossed:

I really don't think our soil can absorb much more water!!

Again nothing specific planned just waiting to see what the weather permits us to do.

Hope your Sunday will be a restful one.:)

Upsydaisy I feel your pain, this is our weather week after week since October …. 7A346E29-F3B7-48D3-BA94-7A97FC7AE018.jpeg
we where in the cemetery last week and one of the big trees had fallen over and damage peoples graves around it .
Hubby is full of a cold here, my dad won’t let me visit him as he doesn’t want me to give him a cold as he lives on his own, think I’ll do my food shopping today, can’t go in the garden as it’s sooooo soggy.
Hope your all well?….. I’ll catch up on all your posts later :spinning:

Morning all. Oh what a cute little character Upsy. I will share my sun with you again today as we will have lots of it.

I wish I could have some of your rain as I will have to ask J to do some watering today

J is off mid morning to Messines (pronunced Mesh-een-ish) to buy some busking equipment, I don't know what. I shall get some Vit D and enjoy the garden and fresh air but that's it for me.

Sending hugs and sunshine to all who need it.

PS Ooops, sorry, this didn't post!!!

Well, since I typed the above but didn't post, J has been to Messines and back and I sat out front ... with The Squeak on J's chair, Van lying at my feet and Munchkin on her little green table next to me, all enjoying the sun and listening to the birds ... with The Squeak chattering away the whole time. We have never known a cat to talk so much.
              Squeak 18 Feb 24.jpg
He doesn't appear feral and there was no response to a flyer we had on our gate. We still won't feed him (J thought he saw little jewels on him).

Morning Vicky, thanks for your offer of more sun but what a surprise......we are enjoying blues skies and wall to wall sunshine at the moment, long may it last......well to the end of the day at least. :fingers crossed: I'm desperately working on persuading hubs to power wash our kitchen and main sitting room patios...the east patio was done last year so that will do as I don't like seeing them too clean, I don't think it looks natural as ours have been down for 3decades now and a bit of wear and tear is good...so I tell myself whenever I look in a mirror!!:heehee:

Oh you snuck in again above me.....Squeak looks exactly like one of the two cats my older sis and I had during our childhood....she was a very dainty and feminine looking cat we named her 'Dinky' :cat-kittyandsmiley: . Would you consider adopting Squeak? Mind you do you think s/he goes ' home' every night.?

                  Good day
It is 19f -7.5c and the computer is telling me that it is cloudy out there. It's too dark for me to see the clouds.

@Upsydaisy I guess I should be grateful for our frozen ground as any rain that comes, just runs off. @Flumpy I'm sorry to hear your hubby's cold has isolated you from your dad but hopefully, it will be short run. @Victoria what are "little jewels"? Is it fleas maybe?

Today is my morning for listening/watching my beloved Corrie while I do the bed linens and make breads and other relaxing domestic jobs.

I've been working on little labels to slide into the seed storage system containers. The labels will have a little pic of the plant, then how to start and how long for germination. I hope they work.

And as I laid there this morning, putting off getting up, I started thinking about rearranging things down in the cellar. It is a full cellar with 8' ceilings and definitely needs a bit of sorting.

I washed a 3 meter length of wrinkly knit fabric that I had got dirt cheap and because the wrinkles didn't come out after that, I ironed it yesterday. I'll cut off a piece and toss it in with the wash. If the wrinkles come back, the fabric will be used for jammies instead of something else. I do hope the wrinkles come out as it is a lovely dark turquoise.

                  Cheers :coffee:

                    Congrats if you are successful!
As ours did not get done last year at all, ours is disgustingly black (not attractive on terracotta) so I will have to pay Ben to do it next month ... I pay all gardening expenses out of my pocket money.

:loll:His balls! However, here they don't remove them, do the inside and leave loose sacks. That's what Van has as did our other boys here.

                      Sunday.
Morning all. Still a good layer of snow here, at noon the warm sun melts some of it. But still crunchy when walking on it.
We have a new bakery that opened a street above ours. He renovated the garage putting in a industrial kitchen etc. So far everything I have had is so yummy. Thank goodness he bakes different things than the Amish do.
We have been busy loading up pics of the car parts to Facebook Market place to sell etc.
Had some lovely guests leave on Saturday, and more moving in this coming Friday, that's good, some money to cover things.
Well today, just continue on with stuff.
                      Take care all.

Good morning everybody, I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Another day of mixed weather , but hopefully the rain will quickly disappear leaving sunshine and cloud.:fingers crossed:

I have quite a few indoor tasks to do today so I'm not sure if any garden related bits will get seen to.
We'll see how quickly I can go this morning.;) As usual I expect I'll get side tracked. :heehee:

Vicky....my wishful thinking didn't come to anything, still looking out on a blackened ,grubby kitchen patio!!:wallbanging: Will today be THE day...:noidea:.

                        Take care.

It didn't used to be like this where you woke up to wall-to-wall sunshine ... in Rain Season! Global Warming has certainly affected Southern Portugal.

The Squeak arrived 6ish this morning. I am sure he lives at the farm across the lane and likes all the company here. I will worry if he starts to look thin or unkempt. or if Van and Munch start being distressed. I would have him in a moment and I believe J would too if we knew he were homeless.

J doing some grocery shopping today but I think that is all going on here.

                            Good day
It is 17f -8c and cloudy. The guessers say it might go up a couple of degrees but no matter to me, I had no outdoor plans.

I am sorta lucky @Victoria because I love cats but my allergies stop me from being a cat lady with a houseful.

I think I figured out how to reorganize the cellar (once again) and I'll get started on that in an hour or so. I'm too busy right now doing nothing... :heehee:

                            Cheers :coffee:

Monday. 7:23AM. 26 degrees. was up at 6Am with coffee and watching the early birds on my feeders. Sometime a group of starlings discover it, and wow does the suet then suffer. Yes, I clap at them to scare them off, but they are persistent.

Yesterday spent some time working on taxes, entering the numbers on the form for the accountant. Most likely will continue today also. Did warm up about 4PM yesterday, took a 1/2 mile walk around the neighborhood.

Still snow about, so all indoor stuff to keep me busy.

                              Have a grand day all.

Good morning, our forecast is for no rain ,no sunshine just...........:cloudy:

We've decided to head over the border to Wiltshire and visit Salisbury today, it's 3 months since our last visit.
Last time we spotted a nice looking restaurant overlooking the River Avon so we might try there.

Hope you all have a lovely day too. :blue thumb:
