The day began with a frost and frozen pond but the sun came out so the planned trip yesterday to Aberdeenshire that didn't happen, was on today, glorious 5 degrees up to Aboyne, but the clouds came over and sleet and snow arrived with temp dropping to 2 degrees. A hasty retreat back to Costa del Arbroath, saw a balmy 6 degrees light breeze and dry again, frosty again now 2 degrees.

 

I was a bit doubtful about what I was seeing when I looked out of the balcony door window this morning but half an hour later I found out why I wasn't too sure if we had had a frost & if the sky was clear or not - we had a slight mist! But I couldn't see it. That makes all the difference. With the light from the lampposts being reflected in the tiny drops in the mist & not yet light enough to see outside properly it's no wonder I was rather confused!

It was a lovely day from about 11am onwards even if the clouds did increase during the afternoon. I went downtown to collect my new distance glasses this morning as well as get a few bits & pieces in town. I'd put on my heavy coat but I got quite warm & for a time I had to open it! Yet temps were only about 7-8C. Out of the wind & in the sun it was quite warm.

We didn't have any rain at all today & max temps got up to about 9C. Tonight we are not forecast frost but our min is expected to be around 2C. More of a cloudy day tomorrow than today & temps again no more than about 8/9C max. But no rain is forecast.

Hi all

This morning is just like yesterday, we have mist and frost again! So a very cold beginning to the day today! We are forecast a similar one to yesterday but a couple of degrees warmer. Again there will be clouds and sunny intervals. No rain in today's forecast either. At 6.30am we have just 1C going up to a max of 8C.

 

We had thick fog first thing but thankfully it's now lifting , Another very wet day to come before a very windy day tomorrow. Oh what fun.

It's a sunny start and -1c.

 

It started raining on Thursday and it's still hissing down. I think we can safely say that the water table has recovered 12C / 7C.

 

Light cloud cover, 11c going to 17/18c with a drizzly afternoon forecast.

The fog has cleared, now a lot of cloud with some blue patches a gentle breeze from the east south east temp 3c feels like -1c

I'm a walking , talking, living sponge oozing water from every pore....I don't need another drop.

 

Well that didn't last long, thick clouds and drizzle now.
