Ah, but not so. J said he felt sick before he left and said he might be home early (normally at 3pm). He left at 12 ... and was back by 1.30pm so now lying/snoozing on the sofa. I have McMillan and Wife on and crocheting. Strangely I felt queasy yesterday and again today ... so what germ has he brought home now! Never a dull moment here.

I don't think I'd care too much for that kind of excitement! That said, it is almost up to 40f out there so I'll go downstairs and get ready to go out and get on with things. :)

Ah, he has had a reaction to these antibiotics (visiting the smallest room in the house too often) but I don't have that issue.

        Enjoy your day.

This was not the normal one she prescribes. I will tell him to make sure he tells her on Monday.

I have worked with many doctors over the years, with my clients etc. If a doctor prescribed something not "normal' I would always question it. In the past I have told doctors not to prescribe something when I know in the past it had an unwanted side effect. I have found that most doctors fail to read history about their patient. I usually tell doctors "what has worked" in the past. Recall a situation now, where a psychiatrist wanted to slowly lower the dose of a medication over time for one of my clients, and slowly all working well, then suddenly an order came over with the original dose. My staff not noticing the "mistake" had given it. We had to start all over again. A good lesson for my staff to be assertive with doctors. I have had to also correct pharmacies for some issues.

Morning Victoria, did you say he’s on antibiotics from the Dentist, if he’s on Metronidazole you can not drink alcohol with these, it will upset his stomach and make him very sick, hope he’s feeling better very soon.
My hubby is poorly too, started off as a cold, then the never ending cough which he’s still got and now he is on antibiotics for abscess, one side of his face is swollen .

Upsydaisy hope your migraine has subsided a little, sending big hugs and flowers :hapflower:

Hi Redstar & Lori hope your all keeping well too :grphg: :sick0026:

Morning Karen, nice to hear from you.

No, it is not that, can't remember what he said it is but not what she has been prescribing in the past and he never looks in advance. They have a new system here where they don't give a paper any more, they put it straight on your record and the Pharmacist (ant Pharmacist) picks it up.

He's just about over all his issues for now. I am better today too with my throat but coughed a lot in the night so took a Bisolvon (Bromhexine mucolytic agent) this morning as this damp weather plays up my sinus).

So sorry your hubby is suffering. This cough has been lingering. Hope his swollen face is not a serious hidden problem.

It all damp, grey and windy here but normal for this time of year ... and welcome from the sun! :heehee:

Hope you have a restful weekend.

                        Morning Victoria! :spinning:

Yes we do Electronic scripts now, we still see the odd paper scripts from Nurses or doctors that are doing home visits, sounds like your J is on the mend now, hope you don’t get a full blown cold though.
My works have now cut our hours by five hours but when someone is off on holiday they want you to work your day off, which means I would be doing 40 hours and the others are part time , I’m still on the look out for a suitable job.
You look after yourself and keep drinking them ginger teas :) xx

                          Good day
It is 42f 3c and the rain is coming down in sheets. A good cleanup for the roadways and the gardens will get a healthy drink too.

@Victoria I'm glad to hear you're getting better. @Flumpy yes, when possible, we do most of our medical stuff online. And the prescriptions go direct to the pharmacy of your choice. Most of my appointments with the doctor are virtual and that saves petrol, the environment and needless time wasted to travel to and from. I do hope you come across something suitable to replace your current employer as they sound dreadful.

@Upsydaisy I'm thinking of you and hope you get your legs under you soon and back to your normal routine. :fingers crossed:

My to do list for today has quite an assortment of either chores or gardening things to do. I do need to get baking as we are out of fresh buns and last week's chocolate chip cookies are all gone. Parts of the house need a vacuuming and my list says today is the day to start my Hollyhock seeds so I shall be making some soil blocks and sowing those.

@Victoria one station here plays MacMillan & Wife on Saturdays at 1 , which is after McCloud which is after Columbo. Lots of nostalgia. It is fun to watch/listen to and I love it!

                          Cheers :coffee:

Good afternoon everyone, just a quick look in.
I haven't read back on posts but hope you are all well.
Thanks for your concern and good wishes. My head is definitely on the mend but get headaches very easily hence not doing any screen time still.

I was involved in a bit of an accident on the bus last Fri after the driver had to carry out an emergency stop. I was standing at the time in readiness to get off the bus and got thrown head first down the whole length of the bus ,ending in getting rammed into the side of the stairwell hitting my head very heavily and ending up sprawled out on the floor. Had to go to A&E and get checked over, thankfully apart from a huge bump, an apparently very bruised scalp, thumping headache and stars in my eyes ,all was ok. I had be forewarned that I would keep the headache for a while( up to 2weeks) and that I would also developed bodily aches and pains due to being thrown about. I have also had really bad dizzy spells too which is the result of my ,still, painfully stiff neck.

Apart from this and dire boredom...lifes a peach.

                            Take care x

Friday, drizzling rain, 41 degrees, 9:15AM.

Oh, my , @Upsydaisy what a jarring experience for you. Sounds horrid. Head trama? did you see a neurologist?

We are rounding the corner to finally put all the tax stuff together in order for the accountant, takes two brains to make sure the list is complete. Then she gets it, and she types it up on the proper forms on her computer, then she prints it all out for our signatures, then we can finally mail it in to the government. Fun. Fingers crossed we do not owe the government anything, that we have enough deductions.

Looks like I am going to another "Trivia Pursuit" party next week. The Chess Group is having one . They are a sweet bunch of folks, nice they include me.

Thanks for asking @Flumpy , I am well, just the arthritis.

Looks like we will be going down to our Airbnb beginning of April for at least 2 weeks. Gathering stuff to take as I go along to start loading in the car. I wish I could be smart enough just to keep a whole bunch of clothes down there.

Take care all. Have a good one.
