Morning Victoria, it’s started raining again just when we are all going to the cemetery to give these

to my mum for Mother’s Day, they are artificial as the Rabbits will eat them in one day, finding it hard today but my hubby will help me through.
Hope J goes on ok at the dentist tomorrow, have a lovely sunny day :spinning:

                Good morning
Thanks again everyone, I was given immediate attention after arriving at A&E and given pain relief which thankfully kicked in very swiftly. Once it was confirmed there were no serious injuries I did have to wait a bit longer for the more indepth tests but that was OK...I was just glad to be in hospital!!

Likewise @Flumpy I have suffered from concussion before and so has one of our son's too when he was a child. Thankfully I know the signs to look out for ,plus, as is the the norm, I was discharged with all the head trauma paperwork / signs to be aware of. :dbgrtmb:

Just came back from the cemetery.....even after 18 years I still ended up crying as I placed my Darling Mum's flowers on their resting place. Still miss them both so very much.

As my Mum was such a devoted gardener , I always like to try and use flowers from our garden.

Came home and placed two flower stems in Donna one for hubs Mum and again one for mine. Bless them both so very much. xx

                    Good day
It is 35f 1.5c and because we put the clocks forward an hour last night, we are back to having dark mornings. The guessers say it is cloudy so I'll take their word for it. Gullible Lori!

I didn't realize it is Mother's Day there and enjoyed seeing the flower tributes you ladies take to your Mums. :dbgrtmb:

@Upsydaisy I'm glad you could join us even if it is only for a few moments here and there as it assures me that you're going to be okay. :grphg:

When you mentioned artificial flowers @Flumpy, it reminded me of a naughty thing I've been thinking about doing. Our neighbour on the one side (the nice ones) have left a hanging pot out at their front porch for the entire winter and of course, the contents are well and truly dead. I've been toying with the idea of getting some artificial flowers to stick in there :heehee: No, not the really nice expensive ones like yours, just some cheapie ones for the hijinks!

Later, after my show and my curlers are out, I plan to visit the builders to pick up the new wire mesh that is ready for me to pick up. Then carry on to pick up the eclipse glasses, and a desk 24/25 calendar to fill in sowing start dates for next year.

I do have a bit of vacuuming and laundry to do but that can all be accomplished during commercial breaks in my show ;)

Cheers and please, everyone be healthy! :coffee:

your flowers are beautiful Upsydaisy, I was very tearful this am, but I will be strong for dad today, unfortunately it’s raining all day so it will be very soggy on the grass

Vicky we're very begrudgingly having to use the car at the moment...not very green I know.

Thank you for the flowers .:wub2:xx

Yes thanks Lori my days are much better now :blue thumb: although still not sleeping well as I can't work out a comfortable pillow combo to support my neck .

Flumpy tears still flowing here too, this part I personally think doesn't get any easier. Hubs still gets extremely emotional over his Mum too and she sadly lost her cancer battle 50 years ago. They are both always in our thoughts and hearts.

Sunday, Time Change last night, we lost an hour, its now 11Am. Spring forward. Always said they should just do it 1/2 hour and leave it alone.
Raining all night again, soggy lawn.

Speaking of a pot of flowers hanging all winter, @CanadianLori , I have a pot of Hardy geraniums I have hung on the light post all winter, it does look dead, but in the spring it pops up alive. So actually walking by it yesterday to get the mail, there it was all happy, I just pulled some of the "really" dead stuff off the underside of it. Kind of an experiment for me.

Happy Mother's day to you all over there. Ours in the states is May 13.

                          Take care all.

A new week already. Lovely day ahead here, 10c to 18c. I can't see any more rain this month!

J has Dentist this afternoon. Hopefully I can coerce him to help me with moving a few pots this morning.

                            Have a good day.

                                Good day
It is 29f -2c and the skies are clear. This is going to be a really nice day :)

@Victoria J must feel like the dentist's is his second home! That said, Emily said her left rear molars were aching. It's probably just her wisdom teeth deciding to push out but I've left a message with the dentist to have a look.

@Upsydaisy it's good to hear you got a little bit of sleep. Having no sleep on top of a nasty headache is just not right. Good luck for tonight :fingers crossed:

We picked up the solar eclipse glasses and they look like this. upload_2024-3-11_7-49-11.png Since it is just printed cardboard as the frames, Em is going to experiment with painting one to see if we can't create a craft for her and her friends to do. If the paint adheres, they can each personalize their pair before the event.

I also picked up the new wire fencing for the vegetable area. It is 1/2" spacing for the wires and the metal is coated in green plastic which makes a nice "tidy garden" look. I'm hot to trot to get that started out there :)

And as you can see, I managed to sleep in, I've only been up 1/2 hour and it is almost 8

                                Cheers :coffee:
