Although I couldn't get on with measuring cups, I do like the idea of stick butter with measurements on it - would like to see that here @redstar. What a fabulous outlook for your holiday home!

 

No, do not do that. If your measuring butter for cookies, the batter needs just room temp butter beat into the sugar eggs etc. My neighbor called herself making choco chip cookies for Christmas, she invited me over, they were flatter than a pancake. I asked her what she did, she said she melted the butter.

Thank you @Dovefromabove . I'd meant to send love to you and your son but the last few days have been pretty hectic and, although my back is much better it still aches which seems to affect my memory.

I'm getting very confused about what I've said where in the last couple of days, here and on GW. Just spent 2 days and an overnight ferry driving from OH's home in Norfolk and my home in France. I feel knackered.

 

@Busy-Lizzie what you need is a couple of days rest and relaxation with copious cups of tea; and some hot baths and early nights. Then you’ll be fit for anything … I’m sure @Punkdoc would sign a Chitty for you

I’ve had a cheeky day off today, although doing some homework for a course I’m starting. Well it is basically watching some TED talks, so all that was done with a coffee, Danish (pastry) and cat on lap.

Oh! Hurray for Spring… frogspawn has arrived in my pond! A few weeks later than usual, looking at my photo reels, so hopefully they won’t have so much freezing weather (oops I’ve said it now!)
