Can I ask if it is good etiquette to put our new topics/questions under the right categories or is "general discussion" area ok? It might seem like a daft question, but it's good to know how careful to be about choosing the right area and not messing up your systems. As all the newbies get used to the forum, I guess some of us will put things in the wrong place. Sorry if this is written up on a webpage I should have read.

A long narrow garden in north London - main growing area about 7mx 3m
North facing
Terraced house
Fenced
No greenhouse
Sheltered
No large trees
Various armies of cats are a feature
Pretty much full sun from March to Sept
On much improved clay with oddly sharp drainage (no idea why)
Interest in (climbing) roses; growing for pollinators; colour; community gardening; plant dyes
Intermediate gardener (you might say) learning over 12 years
Fuelled by enthusiam and curiosity more than great hort knowledge
