We have an area where the trolley wires went in two directions and the conductor had to get off and pull a handle that was on a pole, this diverted the wires one way or the other a bit like points on the railways.
Occasionally they got it wrong and the arms on the bus would get disconnected, then the conductor had to go out with a long bamboo pole and get then back on the wires, the other times were when we had power cuts.

 

Is it sacrilege to say I have never seen any adverts on any site as I have an Ad Blocker?

 

I have an Ad Blocker too @Ladybird4 bu every time I go on the 'net I get a message to say it's crashed. Then I get irritating but not horrendously intrusive adverts.

 

I am sorry to hear that @Obelix-Vendee. I use Firefox as my internet browser and they provide the Ad Blocker so, touch wood, I have never experienced any problems and oh the bliss of having no intrusive adverts - ever.

I agree that trying another browser may be the way forward. I find Firefox very stable.

I changed mine @Fat Controller - and now you are going to ask me how I did it and for the life of me its too late and England have just lost to France! I'll have a look tomorrow and let you know.
