Show Off Your Pets 2024

@amancalledgeorge I was dreading that the only chemo available would be the injection that had to be administered at the vets. He's been poked, prodded and had so many needles stuck in him I didn't think I could put him through more of that. So relieved there was a less severe option as we really don't want to just let him go.

@Michael Hewett We're trying as much as we can for him. Would be lovely if he could buck the trend on life expectancy but I guess all pet parents feel the same.

@JennyJB The daft thing is that he's his usual self and seemingly unconcerned about the whole situation, even the vomiting problems he's been having, whilst we're completely stressed out. He's eating for England at the moment which is such a relief.

 

I don't get the thing with boxes. I buy Chester things that have had rave reviews but he's completely uninterested in them. Leave a box out though and he's in it.

 

@Februarysgirl I was so sad to read about Chester but he seems to be in the right hands with you. We too will do anything for our cats ... they are our 'children' as we don't have any of the human kind. Chester looks like one who comes and visits us and our two 2/3 times a day, not sure where he lives. He is a chatterbox with a tiny voice and we call him The Squeak. Sending you best wishes from afar.

I have a tortoise called Graham. He has just woken up from hibernation which means Spring is here

 

Love border collies, you cant beat them.

Hi ?Debs64 and Graham. and welcome I would love to have a Tortoise.

 

He is lovely, only 9 years old so will hopefully outlive me. I had a tortoise before a real old gentleman called Trevor, he was blind and quite demanding, if his fresh strawberries were not British and therefore not sweet enough he would grumble and snort and refuse to take another bite. He didn’t hibernate as he was used to our weather
I have a large enclosure in the garden roughly 6 foot square and Trevor was always happy trundling around in there in the warm weather but Graham is an escapologist and now has the run of the whole garden. He always comes out to say hello when he hears voices. I leave piles of fresh food around and also hand feed him pellets regularly.
He is only small but has a big personality.

 

11 year old Rusty on high alert, this is what he's thinking:

"she's got her shoes on, she's left the shopping trolley by the front door, she's now relaxing in the front room, but every now and again she jumps up to look out of the window - I deduce this can only mean one thing!".

He seems to know what I'm doing before I do! He's on high alert, his ears are in full radar mode, he knows the Tesco delivery man will soon be pulling up and he's got to wake up the whole street to the potential danger

Jess is beautiful, but as a BC owner we're biased . We've just got back from a muddy walk with Floss, she loves the mud, the wash down after, not so much
