A good morning to you all
I am pleased to announce that I managed to find this thread without going round the houses. I am now the proud owner of a shortcut icon on my desktop. :pathd:

The weather is better, a sunny morning with a promise of some more. Many jobs await me in the garden and a pile of ironing. OH is out for lunch so a sarnie for me and with a bit of luck I will eat it on the balcony.

I am going to make my second cup of tea, anyone?

      Hi all

Feeling a bit hacked off this morning, we have rats back in the kitchen and a Red Deer has been rampaging in the garden.

take it easy @Busy-Lizzie! So many keen gardeners with backache/kneeache/joints troubles, it so utterly unfair at this time of year.

I am going to ask my undergardener to move the strawberries and lift some containers before he goes off gallivanting with his ex colleagues

@Jenny_Aster and @Coccinella good luck with the ironing jobs you are thinking about. I have to have a general anaesthetic to tackle anything along those lines. I think seeing my Mum ironing everything - including her dusters - put me right off that job!

@Busy-Lizzie, that back has been giving you grief since before you set out for France. Try not to do too much. I don't think there is any point in telling you to rest because you live up to your name busy, busy, busy :)

Sorry to hear about your pests @Punkdoc. I used to get rats when the livery stables one door down from me was up and running but their number has declined since the stables closed. Get roe deer here but they cannot get into my garden. Heaven knows where they will go if the new building applications are passed.

You've made me think! I continuously toured on a boat for 5 years, and the only ironing that got done was for weddings and a funeral! Obviously I need reprogramming again. Thank you x

You have my sympathies on the deer @Punkdoc - voracious snackers on tulips here. We have an area of the garden fenced off - but our defences must have been breached. The munched tulip leaves were my canary in the coal mine (luckily they missed the emerging flower buds). Mr C did a patrol and we are now secure again …..until the next time.

Off to be trained as a Mental Health First Aider today and tomorrow- am expecting intense :sad::sad:

                          Morning everyone,
Hi @Ante1 good to see you!
Sorry to hear your back is still painful @Busy-Lizzie take it easy today.
My cough seems to be easing, voice slightly better, but throat still sore.
It was sunny when I got up, but it's disappeared already. Looks like it could rain.
Have a good day everyone, need another cup of tea.

Morning all. A damp morning, which may or may not improve. Was hoping to get some planting done and support wire for clematis installed , but discovered a fence panel with a partially rotted lower section. Drat! That'll need replacing before anything else gets done.
                            :gaah:

@Ladybird4 I have a similar affliction regarding ironing. The older I become, the more allergic. :loll:

Good morning all. It promises to be a dry day after a wet night and it was tipping it down when I got up at 6.30.
I don't do any ironing, I loathed the job and OH wears smart tops with the business logo on so no shirts!
@Dovefromabove. I'm just having coffee, there's plenty if you'd like some?
