Potted on some tomatoes, planted out a climbing hydrangea and potted up some hellebore seedlings of which I appear to have a billion.

I've checked - Mar 2. They germinated quite quickly and have been under grow lamps
        I sowed some Sungold yesterday

I’ve just been looking! Thank you. All I could find was that you sow them in March. I sowed my Sungold on 9th March. They’re under a grow light too.

Wow I’m feeling so behind with sowing, but as I’m coming to the UK for 2 weeks I didn’t want to chance starting anything, then loosing it to neglect. I will probably just have to content myself with buying whatever I can find at the two garden shows I go to in April.

I decided to take a chance and scattered around a bunch of seeds from my mums stash. Most are out of date but who knows something might come of it. When she died last year I brought some ( not all) of her hoard os seeds home with me, then realized a lot of them were out of date.

i figure that if it says UK planting in April, I could give them a try in March here as we are always a few weeks ahead temperature wise. If nothing comes it’s no great loss and if I do get something it’s a nice bonus and way to use up some of the packets.

It has been so wet here since mid October that no gardening has been done other than nipping out on a rare dry morning or afternoon to plant my garlic and shallots. Limited mobility at the mo after two new knees and too cold and dark (no sun) to sow seeds. Even the seed potatoes I set to chit on a windowsill in late January are only just showing shoots.

OH has made a start by trimming about 30 minutes of mixed hedge and starting to strim the edges of the grass at the front but it's still too wet and soggy to weed or plant anything outside.

Anyway, spring cleaning for the next few days - sorting out stuff indoors today to take to the recycling store then tomorrow and Friday I'll get OH to help me empty out the polytunnel for cleaning and a start at sowing.

It's warm enough at night now to bring out the citrus plants, fuchsias and cannas and then we can pull up all the old chillies, weed and rake the beds before piling on some manure and planting this year's tomatoes, chillies and just one cucumber. 2 are definitely too many.
