Good morning all. A dry breezy day with sunny intervals but no gardening for me as I have to take my sister into town. I’m afraid you wouldn’t be my favourite person @Punkdoc as I can’t stand slugs in the garden never mind on the lounge carpet!!

Morning all, rather murky here but we're forecast sunshine later - we hope.
Had a busy day yesterday with an early appointment with the optician in town. Cleared for continued driving, cataract on a wait and see watch but blepharitis a bit of a problem so have to use hot compresses for 2 weeks. Bought some new PJ's but completely forgot to check the leg length! Will have to take them up as a bit of a trip hazard. Can't be bothered to traipse back into town to change them.
Did some hedge cutting in the afternoon and hope to do some more today.
Salute to @Fat Controller, your recovery took some doing.
Best wishes to all those struggling with ill-health or just general aches and pains.
I'd love to see the sea @Dovefromabove but will have to wait till we go to Bournemouth next month.
Enjoy your Friday folks and look forward to the weekend.

Friday, good day all. its 8:37Am here. 27 degrees.
Had a lovely evening last night with a group of conservationists (dinner/wine/speaker) at a beautiful winery out in the country. Met some new folks. I won a neat door prize, a lovely bird house. Have to locate a good tree for it this weekend.
Today a list of a few errands and an appointment to get done. Maybe I can find a neat place in Lancaster, PA to have a lunch, as that is the area I am heading to. And have time to shop in Pottery Barn also, for stuff for the airbnb.
        Have a grand day all.

The weather improved a bit, so managed some pottering, but the new hips protest if I do too much.

Glad your weather’s improved @Punkdoc … I’ve hung the washing out but I’m keeping an eye on the weather …

We’ve been to the farm shop and butcher and brought back proper thick pork chops, lambs liver, bacon, lovely traditional sausages, their fantastic koftas, Scotch eggs, Hispi cabbage, carrots, potatoes, broccoli, onions, porridge e oats, strong wholemeal flour from a local mill, locally made sourdough bread to have for tonight’s supper with the crab and other shellfish we brought home from Cromer, and all sorts of other bits and bobs/vital necessities. Scotch eggs and homemade coleslaw for lunch …

Have a wonderful time your Grandsons @Ergates
@Victoria I very much hope you will continue to post on this thread.
              Pace yourself @Punkdoc
Sorry for your loss to all who have suffered bereavement of beloved dogs (I hope to become a dog parent myself at some stage).
Yesterday I took my Mother for a pre-planned hospital appointment and then on to the nursing home to visit my Father (who has been a resident there for about 2 years). Of course I awoke at 4:30am with a screaming migraine (a habit I seem to be developing in recent weeks). I couldn't have posted anything sensible here on the forum, so I didn't. I treated it with the now-traditional far-too-much coffee and I also did something I haven't done for a few years - I fasted yesterday.

Today is a blustery day, but sunny (so far). My back is sore from all that driving yesterday, but at least I dead-headed my tete-a-tete daffodils this morning. :)
Have a happy and safe day today everyone.

And I’m not a sports fan, but can’t wait! I’m sure it will be fun.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Sunny here but there's a chilly fresh breeze, the blustery type that catches your breath. I've done a couple of hours gardening anyway.

                    The weekend starts here!! :dancy:

Worked for a couple of hours this morning, then appointment with Dad, then an hour in garden. I’ve been raking and pulling up the dead grasses near the pond area, to make way for all the green shoots which are bursting forth. I’m seriously running out of bins and bags already. I must be better with my composting this year, as the council bin is only emptied every 3 weeks.

My uniforms are blowing on the line and the sun has been out at times. A tad chilly in the shade though, which reminds me of:

“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.”

                    (Charles Dickens, Great Expectations).

Have a smashing Friday evening folks :ccheers:

Very similar here @JennyJB but I managed to get six pots of tête-à-tête daffodils transplanted into the garden and also a pot full of 3 White Pearl hyacinths. The wind got decidedly cooler as the afternoon went on. Still, it kept dry and I loved managing to get work done out there.
