I remember your old garden @Busy-Lizzie - it was gorgeous :spinning:. But have loved seeing what you have done with your new places too - you plant my kind of garden

Got to get out there and do some planting today - even if it means donning my wet weather gear.

Have 4 new clematis to get in (helsingborg, sweet willy, frances rives and broughton bride), some lupins and some camellias. Rootgrow is at the ready.

There are / were but some have fallen by the wayside as image hosting servers became defunct (eh photobucket).
I'm sure @shiney will put some in a thread for you ;) in the meantime do a search for shineyland and see what pops up

Perhaps new and existing forum members could consider using the Gallery and/or Photos/Information areas on their personal Profile Page. This could be a good way of getting to know more about each other and our gardens.

I'd find it very useful as I'd like to see what other gardeners have done and what they are up to now! Details in the Information area about favourite plants, planting styles, challenges and successes or whatever is of personal interest would be helpful:).

What do others think about this?

I've found the gallery and it looks a good place to put photos. I'll do it when I've a minute but I'm off to the garden now.

Hello @Fat Controller and @JWK, I was wondering whether a post along the lines of the above under the heading "Getting to Know You" might be a good idea. Also, perhaps this might be better coming from the Admin team? I thought I'd better check with you first in case of any implications on system capability and capacity etc, particularly for photographs. There seems to be a lot of people repeating their details to others in various places here at the moment. Having this information recorded and updated in personal Profiles might help. I'd welcome your thoughts.

The simplest form would be a thread where others can contribute - in terms of using gallery or profile page space, there is no issue with doing so (certainly no resource issue) however not everyone would perhaps see or wish to do so...

I've copied your post into the staff area for us to have a discussion on it as to what, if anything, could be done - meantime, please feel free to create a suitable thread as you see fit

I'm not doing anything in the garden today because it is well below freezing and snowing but I am busy admiring my new colourful pots and 1010 trays.

Very nice, bright and cheerful, colour coordination sounds great fun.

Have filled a large plant pot with about 10 Pygmy sunflower seedlings which should give a nice show in the summer.

Potted on some nasturtium seedlings in larger pots, they'll be companions for tomato plants and strawberries.

In the flower beds have planted about 20 Californian Poppy seedlings (Carmen King) in three areas, and half a doz winter sown lupin seedlings.

Seedlings are all winter sown and pretty tough.
