I lost all my potted Agapanthus last winter (22-23) and resisted replacing 5em last year but they are calling me back. Any recommendations for a good online supplier please - I not a plant collector so looking for reliable quality and a reasonable price rather than rare varieties

MacPlants has a small selection and they are generally an excellent nursery.

Broadleigh Gardens are specialists with a range of around 60 plants. They supply plants of the highest quality and I particularly recommend the variety Storm Cloud to you.

What a choice there, @BenCotto. I have had to click away before I drain my bank account. :)

Avoid Gardening Express. Good prices but my last order had infested soil for one plant and the other (agapanthus as it happens) was rotted. They're fine about replacement or refund but just not what you want when buying stock

@ViewAhead I have Sea Breeze bought last year but I can't remember where from, sorry!. It's in a pot and I'm pleased with it. It flowered well last year and has come back this year with lots of nice new shoots.

@ViewAhead I have just ordered 2 Midnight Sky (I think that's what they were called) from Dobies as they have free post this weekend. To replace some basic blue ones that had been in stupid places in my borders for ages, were potted up last year, and don't seem to have come through the winter. I think Dobies had Sea Breeze, but I have no idea if they are a good supplier, I just hate paying postage!

Thank you for the info. :blue thumb:

I might be wrong, but I have a feeling Dobies is linked to Thompson & Morgan and Suttons, both of whom tend to doctor the colour in their photos, which puts me off. Plus T&M sent me out a different lot of osteospermums to the ones I ordered last yr. :th scifD36: However, free postage is not to be sneezed at ... Will check it out!

Just checked Dobies. They have Sea Breeze listed, but it is unavailable ... and £14.99 for a 9 cm pot seems steep. The ebay one is on my watch list!

Dobies looks like it includes a lot of p&p costs in the prices!

I've used farmer gracy before. Good prices, decent plants but long delivery time. I think others have had mixed experiences with them
