I find it interesting that a placebo injection, can cause some people to have flu like symptoms. The mind is a very powerful thing [in some people ]

The efficacy of placebo has always fascinated me.

One of my friends was a fairly well known research chemist in his time and did some work on placebos as well as developing medicines/vaccines. It was amazing how effective they seemed to have been.

Mind over matter. Just because we can't explain something, doesn't mean it's not there.

You wouldn't know it was a placebo unless they told you.

I do believe in mind over matter up to a point, some people are very susceptible to suggestion and once that gets into the subconscious who knows what it can achieve.

Exactly, mind over matter is a pretty powerful tool, used for both good and evil. When we're positive to an outcome, like cancer treatment, we've halved our battle.

Also the first person to sow that seed, people will belive what is said, that's why the truth should come out first whether it's bad or good

              Hello all

              I Hope you are Well.

I usually stay well clear of these types of Subjects, however......

I have Attached Three PDF Documents detailing the Covid Vaccines (AstraZenica, Moderna and MRNA).

All of the Documents were Downloaded from the Government Public Archive so are Official Documents.

They are a bit Technical in places, however, they are Enlightening.

              Kevin

I had the AstraZenica jab and had no problems but the second one (I can't recall whether it was Pfizer or Moderna) made me really ill. The third one (again I can't recall whether Pfizer or Moderna) was absolutely fine. Side effects are something I wasn't really that bothered about. I have epilepsy and have been through 8 different meds, all of which have had nasty side effects when first taking them. Yes, one of the jabs made me ill for a few days but it was a walk in the park compared to epilepsy meds which would make me ill for weeks on end. With one in particular, I ended up handing my notice in at work because the psychological side effects were so bad I was genuinely scared someone was going to get hurt. As bad as my experience was, there are people who don't have those side effects and it's allowed them to have a normal life. Different body chemistry, different reaction which is why I was never overly concerned about the vaccine.

@Kevin Cowans I read those as well when the vaccines first came out. I was a little miffed to see that each of them had been tested on tens of thousands of people. My epilepsy meds had only been tested on around 7000 people (some of whom dropped out due to side effects) for a grand total of six months before being released on the market. That's a whole other rant though.

There's quite a good film free on YouTube, it stars Meryl Streep. A true story about the film director's little boy (Jim Abrahams) who became epileptic and the trauma of antiepileptic drugs. It's called 'First Do No Harm'. It's eye opening on how we've gone down 'the drug rabbit hole'. Jim Abrahams made the film in the hope it would help others. BTW it has a happy ending!

What I have never understood,( as a dr.), is why people would imagine that a drug which has powerful benefits, wouldn’t have powerful side effects. Any drug without side effects, probably has no benefits.

Because while the known side effects have to be published by law, they're not exactly really shouted about.

All of the publicity around the health service paints a picture of a magical service that will make you better if you're unwell. The cancer adverts for example, don't carry the worry, just see your GP, get it ruled out. Or the massive pack of lies around quitting smoking. Quit smoking, we'll help you. Then you'll instantly become an elite athlete, the world will smell beautiful, life will be absolutely fantastic. Oh we promise that once your sense of smell improves your world won't be filled with other people's BO and farts, and that mediocre food you've been enjoying all these years because you can't taste it won't suddenly taste as nasty as it is, promise.

People don't expect side effects from medication simply because people have been brainwashed to trust the medical professionals. If they say to take this drug, then it must be to make them better. If it then makes them sick, there's no wonder people are going to feel a bit surprised by that.

@Punkdoc Whilst I agree that side effects are something to be anticipated, and the consulting neurologist should always advise the patient accordingly, they aren't 100% guaranteed. Some people are fortunate enough to escape them altogether so it's not an impossible situation. Since everyone has a different body chemistry, pharmaceutical companies can't possibly get it exactly right for everyone but they do seem to have a "that'll do" attitude. There's been drugs that have gone on to be reformulated to combat some side effects they were already aware of. If they already knew these things were a problem, why not delay release of the drug to work on it further, rather than revisiting it a few years later? There are a couple of AEDs that have weight loss as a side effect that are used off label for that purpose in the US. The pharmaceutical company was hoping to cash in it and started trials on one of them to get it approved. The trials were abandoned because the side effects were considered intolerable. I believe they were looking to reformulate it. Apparently people with epilepsy are expected to put up with what is considered unacceptable for everyone else. As horrendous as my experience was with Zonisimide, it still pales in comparison with some of the things I read every day in epilepsy groups about people struggling with their medication. I'm not going to lie, if that ever becomes my life, I'm checking out. As it is, I went back to a previous medication which, although it's never worked 100% (none of them have which is why I've tried 8), gave me the fewest problems when it comes to side effects. I'm done trying to find this magical drug which controls things 100% with minimal side effects. Every time I've changed meds, there's been a problem and I just don't have it in me, emotionally or mentally, to go through it again.
