Is anyone able to help me with the identification of this flower/plant, which is brightening up my days in the new garden, please?

It's so helpful to have an identification, even if it's only a maybe. I've been gardening for years, but I'm not much good at identifying stuff. I knew what was in my old garden - I'd put everything in. But this new place is well stocked, and significantly larger.

 

Cornflower.

 

Narcissus canaliculatus - such a long (and frankly quite amusing) name which belies it's diminutive stature ..... even smaller than Minnow.





Viburnum bodnantense - I was wondering where that gorgeous smell was coming from!

@LunarSea : an excellent recent set of pics... Too bad we cannot smell that Viburnum bodnantense; on the other hand I wouldn't want to feel that pricky Berberis.

My close-ups of the day:

Clematis 'Guernsey Cream'. The earliest to flower in my garden. It easily beats my C. 'Early sensation', which is not particularly early nor sensational.

Amelanchier alnifolia 'Obelisk' just starting to flower (very short flowering period, unfortunately)

 

Cowslips are such a gorgeous flower
