    Morning all.

I'm glad you were OK, @Brenda.

I hope your weather is better today, @Ante1, and that your amaryllis aren't damaged.

It's sunny but cool. My next jobs are to prune the dead bits off the Jasmine officinale and to weed the shrub bed and put more wood chippings on it.

I had a message to say my bistrot set table and 2 chairs will be delivered today, 2 days late.

Just in case we dare to complain about the amount of rain we get in the UK, I heard from my nephew in Dubai last night. He's flooded out, having a ground floor apartment.

My nephew sent me several videos of the floods, including his own apartment. He's pleased he doesn't have carpets!!
But more rain in 24 hours, than the place normally get in three years, is challenging!

          Good morning folks :coffee:

I hope your brother isn’t too shaken @lizzie27 - he might feel a bit sore today.
Glad all ok there @Brenda - that was sorted very swiftly.

Have a good day everyone and take care those doing gardening pursuits.

Expecting a call later to tell me that half of my M and S order which should have been available to pick up on Sunday, will be ready today. It’ll have to wait there, I’m not plodding back there this week!
Just heard a funny noise in the corridor, a small bird is fluttering outside the landing window, gently tapping the glass. That happened at another window a few days ago, I think they might be grabbing spiders from the rather substantial cobwebs on the corners! Or maybe collecting webs for their nests? Lovely bit of sunshine this morning, but my goodness, I’m going to have to give the windows a clean! They look terrible! I have jobs with a higher priority, but it would be nice to be able to see out a bit better!
I peeped out from behind the curtains to watch the green bins being emptied this morning! Always reassuring that there are no obvious problems. Our bins are often heavy because we shred a lot of our garden waste, so I’m always a little worried that the workers will reject them for some reason, and we will be put on the naughty list! However, they only have to roll them a few feet to the back of the lorry, and the automatic lift hauls them up and gives them a vigorous and noisy shake! So now I have two empty bins, but with two weeks to refill them, I have no excuse for avoiding some window cleaning!
Very relieved your brother escaped relatively unharmed, @lizzie27, how terrifying.

              Hi all

Lovely sunny day, but we had a frost and it is Baltic out there.
Lovely site this morning, a pair of Mandarins underneath the feeders, we often get them on the pond, but I've never seen them where they were. Pictures to follow [ hopefully ]

Good morning everyone. Nice and sunny here too, although none too warm. Washing is blowing on the line, I am indoors working (well having a tea break at the moment), and the garden is growing, looking all sparkly and fresh after a drop of rain during the night. Only 1mm in the gauge but it freshens things up.

Well, I was going to type Good Morning but looked at the clock and it's afternoon already!
Had an early blood test so had to scramble after breakfast, thanks for the info on potassium levels, might come in handy later when I get the results! Also had my ears checked for wax, complete waste of time as I'll probably have to wait months for a hearing test appointment.

Thanks all, for the good wishes for my brother, waiting to hear how he is today, probably feeling very battered and bruised.

@Dordogne Damsel, I don't know how you manage but glad your friend is being supportive.

                  Enjoy your son's cooking @PatE.

I was just reading about the unusual rainfall in UAE, how extraordinary, hope everyone's ok.

@Dovefromabove, you might be able to help me please. I need to assemble some photos of my late brother in a collage on a piece of card, then scan them into the printer. What is the easiest/best way to keep them in place, some are very small and fragile?

@Ergates, our green bins are also full, ready for emptying tomorrow. The fortnight soon comes round, doesn't it?

I nipped into the garage to bring my seed trays out and thought - it’s a tad messy in here… two hours later…

I found my little loppers in there! Also I found my kitchen palette knife - it was in the box of motorbike mending stuff (where else?!).

@lizzie27 when I did that I stuck them on a sheet of thin card with tiny pieces of Blue Tack.

I was up a ladder pruning the dead bits off the Jasmine Officinale when the delivery man came with the bistro set. OH is putting it together, looks promising.

@lizzie27, I use clear, self adhesive photo corners but I think @Busy-Lizzie's suggestion will work very well.
I did a few hours work in the garden this morning but my goodness it was cold. Hands were assuming 'dead spider' mode so I had to come in to hug a mug.
Glad your set has arrived finally @Busy-Lizzie - hope that there are no missing fixings :)
@AuntyRach, I'm glad I am not alone in finding things in random situations!

Greetings all. We are leaving here tomorrow morning. Yesterday took the day to explore about, found a place for some surf fishing, tried a couple new restaurants.
Today, getting house organized, laundry, beds etc. Busy. Later.

Make sure you get the repositionable one. It’ll say it on the tin.
It doesn’t make the photos sticky. They’ll be fine afterwards.
