What's your weather like APRIL 2024

Really cold and windy all day. The bright sunshine tempts me outside but I quickly realise my mistake. Forecast to be less windy at the weekend but still pretty cold.

 

I’m going to say it… I’m chilly.
It’s season limbo just now as not cold enough for central heating (not in this house anyway) and not warm enough to stop wearing layers/fleeces/woolly socks etc. Frost is forecast for tonight, but hopefully it will be the last one.

 

Almost a week of cool dry weather forecast from the weekend. Not that I trust the forecast

 

Still had sunny intervals and a cold moderate breeze from the north north west temp 9c feels like 6c.

 

Got to 28c today, currently calm and 25,3c.

@fairygirl snow in April is called lamb snow here as it always falls on lower ground just as the first are being born. Is it the same in your area?

 

Come on folks, what do we do? We have the thermometer set to "X" at the start of the day and it goes down at 09:30, back up at 16:30 until 22:30 (near bed time for whimps like us). We are retired and in most of the day, I assume others out at work would be different, as we would be...

Blue skies and sunshine and 1 degree C.
A thin layer of ice on the bird bath.
Glad I put fleece over my tomato seedlings in the greenhouse last night.
At least the chilly wind has finally dropped.

 

Beautifully sunny with blue sky and no breeze ... currently.

Half-hardies spent the night in the garage, just in case. I hate to lose any in April when I have managed to get them through the winter.
