Looks like a carrot to me, just about to send up a flowering stem. Could be a wild carrot, unless you left one in the soil after growing them last year?

This wasn't here for me last year, thought it might be a heuchera, but now it's bigger....

Interesting, I have some geums, didn't plant one there, or one of those!

I shall let it continue to grow and see.

      Thanks

If it flowers with small yellow ones, then I'd have it out before it seeds as Wood avens is a plant you don't want!:rolleyespink:

Just spent a large part of the morning pulling up wood avens. At least it's pretty easy to uproot.

It doesn't look like Wood avens, well not like that in my garden - seeds stick to everything!

          Trimmed image.
          IMG-20240421-WA0000.jpg

Leaves look more like carrot OR similar.
If you crush a leaf does it have any smell?

I’ve got this …it green in my shady ‘wilderness’ area … can’t remember it’s name … brain isn’t switched on … I’ve just driven home from Lincs … it was a gift from Nutcutlet aka @Angie Jones (nut) … it has red berries …

Definitely not geum urbanum or grim urbanism as predictive text prefers. I prefer that name too.
I'd leave it and see if you like it. It doesn't look like a grim spreader

Humble apologies didn't look at RoddersUK's pics.
No wonder thread took a weird direction.
Sorry for my stupid post above.

                Must pay closer attention!

I don't know why I struggle not to say that it is definitely a plant!
...and I don't know if it is also a weed...
